I could place a long story here about the many outstanding responses and unfair/false information that we have received from Dave de Jongh in the negotiation process, but I won't do so here. Apparently, Dave only thinks about his own self-interest. Doing your best for the selling party is fine, but in an open and honest way. Even then, we would certainly have reached a conclusion, but with a good feeling for both parties.

We bought our first home through this real estate agent, which should have been a wonderful step. Unfortunately, the house turned out to be full of hidden defects. From the moment we discovered this, the real estate agent suddenly became very difficult to reach. Instead of brainstorming or mediating, they immediately said: “Contact legal assistance, because the seller is unwilling to cooperate.” Later it turned out that the seller was willing to discuss the matter — so that wasn't true either. When we indicated that there were defects that had not been reported, we were told: “Do you think we’re going to check if everything works?” We found that downright unprofessional. As a real estate agent, you present a property with certain information — shouldn't buyers then expect that information to be correct? Or at least communicated honestly? In short: very disappointing and unreliable experience. We therefore absolutely do not recommend this real estate agent, especially not for first-time buyers.
