Our experience with Overspaern Makelaardij B.V. as the selling agent was extremely disappointing and damaging. We were explicitly informed that our offer had been accepted. Our buying agent was informed on behalf of the seller. Based on that confirmation, we proceeded in good faith. Later, however, we discovered that the agent continued to receive and open other offers without informing us that the bidding process was still open. When a higher offer came in, we were casually – with a brief 'sorry' – informed that our offer had not been accepted after all. This kind of behavior causes unnecessary friction and completely undermines confidence in the process. Confirming an accepted offer is not a minor detail – it has real consequences for buyers. Reversing that decision because a better offer came in leaves a very bitter aftertaste and raises serious questions about professional standards and integrity. Real estate transactions require transparency, honesty, and reliability – especially in an already extremely competitive and challenging housing market. Unfortunately, this experience reflected none of these qualities. I strongly advise others to be extremely cautious. Unfortunately, there is no option for -1 star or 0, so I give it 1 star.
