27 Sep 2025We came across Fly Real Estate through a new construction project they were selling. Here, we were assigned agent Tygo. Although that project did not work out for us, we stayed with him because he advised us honestly and transparently from the start. Tygo is an incredibly enthusiastic and competent real estate agent. He helped us tremendously in finding a home and selling my partner’s apartment. The communication was always easy: Tygo is very reachable and thinks along with you. Even on his free evenings or weekends, he goes out of his way for you. We as a couple sometimes have somewhat peculiar, sarcastic humor, but that was fortunately no problem with Tygo. Despite him taking his work very seriously and professionally, there’s always room for a joke. This makes the search for a new home and viewings light-hearted and enjoyable. The communication within Fly Real Estate is incredibly fast; if Tygo wasn’t available, one of his colleagues would respond almost immediately and take up our question. If we ever sell or buy another house again, we will definitely approach Fly Real Estate.

24 May 2025I had an incredibly pleasant experience with DVA Makelaars. In 2018, I purchased a property where DVA real estate agents were the selling agent. They were great to communicate with, took plenty of time for the viewing, and further contact was very smooth and professional. I recently sold this property and chose DVA for the same reasons to sell it for me. The contact was extremely good again; Tineke contacted us on the same day, we had everything signed a few days later, and the sale was arranged. The house was somewhat outdated, and they even helped with having it renovated by connecting us with a contractor they know. In short: complete hassle-free service for me. I am sure that next time in the Alkmaar region I will use DVA real estate agents again. Keep up the good work Tineke and Pascal!

24 Sep 2024Last Thursday, my friend and I had the final inspection of our first home. We were super nervous and curious at the same time. We were a little earlier than the real estate agent from DVA and went inside because it was raining. We were greeted kindly by the current resident. When the real estate agent arrived, we felt that this wasn't intended. There was immediately a tense atmosphere. The resident had told us that day that there were two wasp nests in the shed outside and they could be removed at her expense. We thought it was strange that this hadn’t been reported beforehand and pointed this out to the real estate agent. She said she still wanted to pass this on during this final inspection. It's a bizarre situation that we weren't informed about this earlier. But ultimately, it's nice that it could be removed at the resident's expense. When we came into the garden and shed, there were all sorts of things lying around like 2 large bags of soil/planks/tools and bulky waste. The lamps were still hanging everywhere inside as well. We indicated that we couldn’t deal with this and whether it could be removed. The resident stated that she no longer had the time/strength/desire to do so. Not really a problem, but that's not the buyer's responsibility to clean up. Moreover, it is normal for a property to be handed over empty. We were willing to clear this up but for compensation. The real estate agent intervened and said she thought it was incredibly flimsy and that my friend was quite a 'big boy' to be able to do it himself. This felt very belittling because this simply wasn’t how a house should be handed over. It was a very unprofessional attitude from the real estate agent. She was completely on the resident's side. Ultimately, the real estate agent wanted to clean everything up herself and take it in her own car and started collecting the planks. This wouldn’t all fit so we eventually came to a solution with much sighing that we would get compensation for it. Very nice but we both felt uneasy about it. Upon arriving at the notary's office, we discussed the story again and a 'well sorry you want to hear that..' came from the real estate agent. We were very sorry that things went this way when buying our first home. It leaves a bitter aftertaste. Having told this story a few times in our circles, most people concluded that this (fortunately) is not the normal way of doing things. Hence we decided to leave a review and share how our experience with DVA real estate agents has been.

For the readers' understanding, it is important to mention here that you are not a client of DVA Makelaars, and that we always carefully carry out the handover of a property. During the handover of this property, we dealt with an elderly lady who is in need of assistance. She did not receive help from her immediate surroundings when emptying the house, where everyone could see that she had done more than her best to hand over the property as well as possible to you. She handed everything empty except for a few items in the storage room. She also left a few wall shelves and some lamps hanging, which is quite common during a handover; new residents then immediately have light when doing renovations. Our client resolved the incident neatly by financially settling it with you, the buyers, on the spot. You agreed to this! We have to look after the interests of our client and have acted in the interest of our principal. It's a pity to now have to read a whole account of this minor incident which has been settled with more than a very good amount of money from our client. It feels like a slap in the face. We also find it disrespectful towards our principal. She even placed a Christmas arrangement in the house as a welcome gift for your new residents. Buying and selling a house is not something we do every day, so we certainly weren't familiar with the world of real estate... Afterwards, we contacted Marius from 'van het riet makelaars'. Marius is an incredibly pleasant realtor who helped us well in searching for a new home at our own pace. Ultimately, we came to a plot where Marius was able to mean a lot to us. Marius was always available (sorry for the messages ;) ) and was a very good sparring partner with questions. After purchasing the plot, we were also allowed to sell our house via 'van het Riet'. Again, nothing but praise; we wanted to sell quickly. The photographer came and the team at 'van het riet' took everything out of our hands. Thanks! What pleasant no-nonsense realtors. Top.

21 Oct 2025Als ik er minder dan één kon geven, zou ik dat doen. We hadden moeite met het vinden van een geschikte aankoopmakelaar en na een tijdje gaven we Hoekstra en van Eck een kans. Gary nam contact met ons op en verzekerde ons dat ze ons zouden helpen met alles wat we nodig hadden bij de aankoop van een huis. We gingen een huis bezichtigen dat door Hoekstra en van Eck werd verkocht en daarom moesten we een andere taxateur het huis voor ons laten taxeren en ons helpen met het biedingsproces. Gary liet ons het huis zien en verzekerde ons dat het in goede staat was om er direct in te trekken en te gebruiken. We waren zo zeker van Gary's mening dat we geen bezichtiging hebben aangevraagd, vooral omdat Gary ons kende en eigenlijk onze aankoopmakelaar was. Achteraf gezien hadden we eigenlijk meteen een bezichtiging moeten laten doen. We deden een bod op het huis en waren de tweede bieders. We kregen te horen dat we het huis zouden mogen kopen als de bieders die als eerste kwamen nee zouden zeggen. De eerste bieders zeiden nee en we kregen een telefoontje waarin we maar een paar uur de tijd kregen om te beslissen of we het huis wel of niet wilden - we kregen niet eens de juiste "bedenktijd" voor de aankoop. We namen het huis en ze waren erg behulpzaam totdat het huis verkocht was. We ontdekten later dat er "verborgen gebroken" waren en we hebben geprobeerd hen daarover te bereiken om een oplossing te krijgen. Dit was een maand geleden en we hebben nog steeds geen reactie van hen ontvangen. Ze zullen waarschijnlijk eerder op deze beoordeling reageren dan op mijn e-mails. Ik heb ze ook twee keer moeten bellen en ze verschuilen zich liever achter hun secretaresses met smoesjes als "We hebben veel druk". Ik wacht nog steeds op mijn telefoontje van Jeffrey, de verkoper van het huis, maar heb niets ontvangen. Onze taxateur heeft ook geprobeerd hen te bereiken, maar zonder succes. Als je een starter bent, maak dan geen gebruik van hen, of zorg ervoor dat je voldoende juridische ondersteuning hebt voor het geval er iets misgaat. Als je niet genoeg weet over de Nederlandse huizenmarkt, maak dan geen gebruik van hen. Ik kan niet over alle kantoren van Hoekstra & van Eck spreken, maar deze ervaring betrof specifiek het kantoor in Heerhugowaard. Jeffrey en Gary waren betrokken bij de verkoop.

08 Oct 2025Fantastische Begeleiding bij Aankoop! Een absolute aanrader! Jeffrey van Hoekstra en Van Eck Makelaars heeft ons fenomenaal geholpen bij de aankoop van onze nieuwe woning. Hij is een absolute top-aankoopmakelaar! Onze keuze voor Jeffrey was snel gemaakt nadat we een aantal huizen hadden bezichtigd die hij in de verkoop had. Wat ons toen al opviel en later in de aankoopbegeleiding bevestigd werd, is zijn eerlijkheid en oprechtheid. Altijd snel antwoord op al onze vragen. En hij belde ook vaak na. Dit gaf ons direct het vertrouwen: Jeffrey moesten we hebben als onze aankoopmakelaar. En wat zijn we blij dat we deze keuze hebben gemaakt! De communicatie was de hele tijd door uitmuntend en de bereikbaarheid geweldig. Geen vraag was te veel en hij stond altijd voor ons klaar. Zelfs de nazorg is van een ongekend hoog niveau. Anderhalve week geleden belden we Jeffrey voor een taxatierapport voor onze oude woning en hij heeft het direct geregeld. Dat is de service die je krijgt! Wij zijn ontzettend blij met Jeffrey en het team van Hoekstra en Van Eck Makelaars en kunnen hem iedereen aanraden die een betrouwbare, eerlijke en zeer kundige aankoopmakelaar zoekt! En niet te vergeten ook als top verkoopmakelaar! Onze dank is groot!
