02 Dec 2021We engaged Douwma real estate agency for the purchase of our first home in Apeldoorn. In a short timeframe, we planned a viewing together with Carla (Douwma real estate agency). She took the stress out of buying our future home. She carefully looked for defects and involved us in the entire purchasing process. For us, this was a fantastic experience! All administrative matters were supervised and handled properly by her with the other party (the sellers in this case). During the purchase of our house, several points came to light that, thanks to Douwma real estate agency, took a very positive turn. It turned out that a piece of land was not registered with the Cadastre. Carla resolved this expertly with the notary. We ultimately received the plot of land without any disadvantageous costs. Carla is a very pleasant woman who you can always turn to with your questions. Without her, things would not have ended so positively. Once again, thank you enormously for all your help. We fully recommend Douwma Makelaardij!

Date unknownThe first acquaintance 2019 Appointment for viewing. Waited over 30 minutes. While we were called there. We didn't have an appointment scheduled. Strange because we did receive confirmation emails. The second acquaintance 2022 Viewing request via Funda. Due to circumstances, we don’t want telephone contact. Yet, we are still called. We indicated wanting email contact. Afterwards, a lot of emails were received with reminders from move.NL while we hadn't even been there yet. Also, the email communication with them didn’t go smoothly. The third acquaintance. 2022 Wanting to make an appointment again. Same song and dance. First by phone, which is what we didn’t want. Then all sorts of reminders from move.NL that we DO NOT want or ask for. After the second contact, they clearly didn't grasp the message. We informed them that we would wait with the decision. As a reaction, they said the house was sold. Fine. Still, afterwards another reminder came to react via Move.NL Why were our details entered anyway without permission? Unfortunately, we ourselves were about 8 minutes late for the last appointment. We were very annoyed by this because now they can point the finger at us that we are doing something wrong. Houses for sale at Reinders…. We certainly have extra doubts about a potential purchase. Strength to real estate agent Reinders. After I posted this review, Mr J Reinders tried to call us. Since we are simply working, we didn't answer the phone. Immediately afterwards, I saw an email arrive. Short and sweet. The gentleman wanted to talk. That can......an email was sent back that evening when I am reachable at work. Exactly at that time we met each other. We both told our story. I tried to make clear that the amount of info is enormous even for a simple appointment, and that we don't feel comfortable. The barrier isn’t gone with us, but Mr. J Reinders did ask us to respond to an interesting offer. Mr. J Reinders would then personally ensure a good approach. That certainly adorns the entrepreneur.

Date unknown*UPDATE* Jeroen kept his and our heads cool despite the rising house prices. We were picky and Jeroen realistic, which meant we only made 2 bids in a year, but the second time was lucky and it was the nicest house in Apeldoorn 👌 The sale went just as smoothly, well guided and sold for a great price 💪 *Original* Been working on finding our dream home in this overheated housing market for a while now. Not successful yet, but Jeroen always manages to guide us perfectly. Hopefully soon a success 👌

Date unknownA peculiar way of doing things during the sale. Made an appointment as number 2 because earlier really wasn't possible. Number 2 on the list. During the viewing, suddenly two other interested parties for us appeared. Remarkable, being number 2 on the list. Either they can't count, or they are playing games, or .... fill in the blanks. It is not reliable; the overheated Hugo market will be to blame, but integrity you only sell once. In summary, a typical real estate agent experience. It’s comparable to the croquette sandwich at Efteling; as long as we all continue buying it, price and quality don't matter. Next. Update: Of course, it is very annoying when people are not positive. An appointment is an appointment was not the case here. The attempt to turn a bad review around is confirming; find the best buyer and then give up your decency for that. That’s your choice, stand behind it instead of trying to make excuses for what was crooked. Bad experience, get over it. Wishing you all the best.

Your internet pseudonym: “Mutiny” is apparently not chosen for nothing… At the time of scheduling, you were indeed the 2nd viewer of the property in question. As you may have noticed, you are currently not the only one searching the housing market. Yes, we also think that the previous Minister for Housing, Spatial Planning and Environment is partly to blame for this, but that’s another discussion…. When you think that we no longer schedule viewings after Mr. “HFC Muiterij” has scheduled something, you are indeed mistaken. Our task is to find the best buyer for our clients. You were not that in this case. Good luck with the next one and perhaps see you again! PS: We can count just fine. Our office has already carried out 1,785 individual viewings this year. Fortunately, most viewers appreciated our personal approach!

Date unknownUnfortunately, not a pleasant experience with Mercurius Makelaars Deventer. UPDATE: Spoke with Remy, ultimately no solution was found. The phone call was unpleasant because the tone he used did not come across well. The viewing was done by Christiaan Brandwacht, here sufficient information was given (or so we thought). When we signed the purchase agreement, we were told between our noses and lips that a second window would be leaking. My husband and I were not informed of this. Christiaan said that the second window could easily be fixed, to accidentally let a hammer through it during renovations. We were astonished by this, because it is not our problem to solve but that of the sellers and Mercurius. Also, there is a lot of advertising on their socials about a Gamma box you receive when purchasing a home, which we unfortunately did not receive because Christiaan was busy with another sale of a more expensive price class property than ours during the purchase agreement. (Box eventually received because I called to follow up). We passed this on to our buying broker, he followed it up with Mercurius. When measuring the house, we heard from the sellers that the information Christiaan had given us during the viewing was incorrect. During the final inspection, there had been no prior communication from Mercurius with the sellers about the second leaking window. As a result, the second leaking window was not repaired before the final inspection, which led to a discussion between our purchasing broker and the sellers. Marco from Mercurius stood by and watched. It seemed that he only considered it important that the sale of this house went through instead of offering an immediate solution. The final score is that we now have to work with the sellers to resolve it, while Mercurius has not acted and the fault does not lie with the sellers or us. We spoke to the neighbor, turns out there is a mouse infestation in the area (Colmschaterenk), which we also noticed after finding three dead mice in less than a week in the partitions. There were also mousetraps found in the house and a lot of ants crawling through the house. This was not disclosed to us beforehand. It turns out that another window is leaking, so it's not one window that’s leaking but three. Unfortunately, only discovered after the final inspection because there was foil on the third leaking window. In my opinion, it is clear, Mercurius finds it more important to sell a house with 45% information instead of an honest way of selling. Not recommended to buy a house here.

18 Nov 2025We sold our home with the help of Mercurius Makelaars. A very friendly initial meeting which resulted in a cooperation. We had excellent guidance and tips to prepare our house for sale nicely. Emphasized here to give good attention to this and possibly invest. Then the sale will go smoothly. The partner they work with, such as the photographer, was also fantastic. Very nice photos made and our house came out very nicely. This gave a result of 24 potential buyers and we ultimately received nice offers. Our home was sold within 3 weeks with a fall vacation in between. We are extremely satisfied and enthusiastic about Mercurius Makelaars and can recommend them to everyone.
