Ten days ago, a house was purchased from a client of Ron van Rietgans. Among other things, the deal with Ron was closed subject to a structural survey, but having the thatched roof inspected suddenly wasn't part of it: when we still wanted that checked, the property was quickly sold to someone else who didn't make a 'difficult condition'. What turned out to be the case: the agreement with previous interested parties in the house which was supposed to be cancelled last week, went ahead without our knowledge. They bid again, after which Ron called us on Saturday and yesterday that we had to let him know NOW. Bizarre circumstances and goodbye dream house. Unheard of! How do I explain this to my children? 1 star is far too much. This is scandalous!

Drastically bad website. I wouldn't call this a professional party.

In our search for a villa in the Realm of a Thousand Islands, we consulted various well-known local real estate agents in our search area with our specific housing wish list. Rietgans real estate was the only agent who didn't refer us to an automated part of a website where we could fill in our 'wishes' (to then receive an automated 'funda' email...), but paid personal attention to our wishes. Viewing a property on the weekend was no problem at all, which was very pleasant for us as we live in the province of Utrecht, not right next door. What was also very nice (and again an exception!) was that Ron was always easily accessible by phone. A missed call on his part was enough to receive a return call later that same day. As a customer, you feel taken seriously. The broad knowledge of the specific market & target group as well as the extensive track record in buying and selling properties of Rietgans real estate was very pleasant to experience. With a realistic view, Ron could confirm or refute our ideas/feelings about certain properties. Ultimately, we found the perfect property for us in a beautiful location. Because it applied here that we had to act quickly, it was great that Ron, as our purchasing agent, could view the property with us on the same day and successfully negotiated in the evening.

Surely these aren't brokers??? Two jokers who act very important but in reality don't understand anything about the business. They want to do as little work as possible. The houses that are on their site stay there, as if they're very busy. They avoid problems. Not recommended!
