The reason we give two stars less is that the information provided was not entirely correct. The real estate agent assured us that the property was soundproof and that we “wouldn’t hear each other” due to the concrete foundation. This was an important promise for us, as we were primarily looking for peace and quiet which we missed in the busy city of Rotterdam. Unfortunately, reality turned out to be very different. The noise transmission of the property is unacceptable. It feels like we have our neighbors as co-residents. Conversations and sounds are clearly audible, with even contact sound vibrating through our floor and furniture. Now, after purchasing the house, we are forced to incur significant costs to address the sound insulation, since the current situation is far from acceptable. This has not only caused us financial worries but also a lot of frustration. The incorrect information provided during the viewing has damaged our trust in the real estate agent as our bid was based on this. Now, several months later, we know retrospectively that the former residents were also aware of this, which upsets us even more. All in all, we are disappointed with the way Zoomer Makelaardij presented the situation. We should have been informed more honestly and in detail about the noise transmission of the property, so that we could have made a well-considered decision and adjust our bid accordingly given the investment we now have to save for.

Ik heb mijn woning verkocht via Van der Wiel Makelaardij. Afgelopen vrijdag hebben zij in mijn afwezigheid de eindinspectie uitgevoerd. Tot vandaag heb ik hierover nog niets vernomen. Een simpel berichtje als: Alles is goed gegaan - de kopers zijn naar de notaris - had al voldoende geweest. Helaas is het typerend voor het complete proces. Er waren regelmatig bezichtigingen, maar terugkoppelingen over hoe deze waren gegaan kreeg ik nooit. Toen ik zelf eens polshoogte besloot te nemen kreeg ik direct de suggestie toegeworpen - "Mijn voorstel is om te zakken met de prijs". Veel meer ideeën waren er niet. Later rondom een bieding was er opnieuw weinig initiatief. Ik besloot zelf maar het balletje op te gooien om een tegenbod te doen. De aansluitende berichtgeving van Van der Wiel was er erg op gericht om de woning maar zo snel mogelijk te verkopen. Even de courtage cashen en weer door - zo leek het. Aan de voorkant leek Van der Wiel mij een goede keuze, maar achteraf viel dit tegen. Ik zou ze niet aanraden.
