14 Nov 2025Fly Schagen, the party that handled the entire purchase process from start to finish on our behalf. Of course, this comes with a cost, but that's a choice you make and they are very transparent about it. I dare to say 100% that I would do it again. Buying a house is not just something, there's a lot to consider and for every question we had, there was almost 24x7 an answer found via a whatsapp group where several employees of Fly Schagen were present. During a meeting during an inspection, they think about things you yourself don't even think of. Kitchen drawers, cabinets and doors are opened with a very critical eye while you yourself are only surprised by how beautiful the floor is. I can recommend Fly Schagen for all your property purchases. The communication is very simple and you are dealing with people who know what they're talking about. Is your fixed real estate agent on vacation? Then you get a colleague assigned to you directly who speaks exactly the same language. 5/5 stars for this party. I am now the happy owner of a new home thanks to Fly Schagen.

05 Oct 2025We came across Fly Real Estate through a new construction project they were selling. Here, we were assigned agent Tygo. Although that project did not work out for us, we stayed with him because he advised us honestly and transparently from the start. Tygo is an incredibly enthusiastic and competent real estate agent. He helped us tremendously in finding a home and selling my partner’s apartment. The communication was always easy: Tygo is very reachable and thinks along with you. Even on his free evenings or weekends, he goes out of his way for you. We as a couple sometimes have somewhat peculiar, sarcastic humor, but that was fortunately no problem with Tygo. Despite him taking his work very seriously and professionally, there’s always room for a joke. This makes the search for a new home and viewings light-hearted and enjoyable. The communication within Fly Real Estate is incredibly fast; if Tygo wasn’t available, one of his colleagues would respond almost immediately and take up our question. If we ever sell or buy another house again, we will definitely approach Fly Real Estate.

Date unknownHouse purchased with SC Bakker as the selling agency. House purchased and at the transfer, only 1 key was handed over. After returning from the notary and not being able to find the remaining keys in the house, I contacted the relevant party. It was stated that these keys were not present during the viewing. Strange because Wooncompagnie always installs new cylinder locks in the doors when a tenant moves out. But I also can't recall that myself. After some inquiries with my lawyer and a friend realtor, I formally notified Bakker in writing by phone. Two days later, when Bakker still refused to provide a locksmith or hand over the keys to me, I informed Bakker makelaardij that I was done with it and would officially notify them of default and that all additional costs would be recovered from them. You won't believe it but magically, the keys were suddenly present within 30 minutes, still in possession of Wooncompagnie. They delivered the keys to me that afternoon. In short, if you want lies and deceit, then you should do business with this party.

22 Aug 2025In preparation for the sale of our house, we asked several real estate agents in the region, including Mr. Robbie van der Giesen, to come by for an appraisal of our home. Mr. van der Giesen came in the morning, was friendly and open. During the conversation, we indicated that it would be nice if the house could be sold as soon as possible so that a short bridging period would be necessary. Mr. van der Giesen said he would return later that day with an appraisal. Later in the day, he did indeed come by at the agreed time. Notably during this visit was that Mr. van der Giesen no longer seemed as open as earlier that day. For example, he no longer made eye contact and kept looking away. It seemed as if he didn't dare to look us in the eyes. Independently of each other, we both had the same experience. He had put down an appraisal on paper that was so low that he didn’t even dare to say the amount out loud. He turned the paper around and circled the amount for which he wanted to put our house on the market. He was €55,000 below the amounts for which his regional colleagues wanted to put our house on the market. When we made this clear to him, he said that we would never get it for that price. Of course, we did not enter into an agreement with this real estate agent. This realtor knew that we were somewhat in a hurry and may have thought he could make quick money by putting our house on the market low so that it would sell quickly and he would quickly collect his commission. Our house was ultimately sold for more than the amount Mr. van der Giesen said we wouldn’t get.

Dear Anja, What a pity that you had this experience with me. I was aware that you had invited 3 brokers so consciously setting low to sell quickly doesn't quite fit the strategy. Because then I could have filled in that I wouldn’t get the assignment. I wanted to advise you honestly and mentioned 2 amounts for you to take into account: 1 for your financial picture to avoid problems later on, and 2 what I expect the property will generate in the market! I've just checked your sales process again; you started too high. You needed to drop the price after a few weeks to create interest, which is quite special considering the time your house was for sale. Disagreeing with each other is allowed and can be, isn’t it? But your assumptions and accusations are unfair and unjustified. Avoiding someone for whatever reason doesn't suit me, and I have never suffered from insecurity 😊 Your other point of quickly collecting brokerage fees, I also cannot agree with; I find that a nasty accusation when you have realized more than 200 transactions per year for over 10 years, you really don’t need to play the game of getting commission quickly! Your way of thinking says more about you than about me, I think! I'm sorry it turned out this way! You are always welcome to discuss the process again together over a cup of coffee. Greetings Robby

Date unknownPlease pay attention to the defects when buying a house with this real estate agent. We recently bought a house that was for sale through Westhuis Makelaardij. During our first visit, we asked if there were any (technical) defects in the house, and we were told by realtor Kirsten that, to her knowledge, there were no current defects. During the final inspection, it turned out that there were indeed defects, namely a defect in the shutters which the seller admitted and had also indicated to their real estate agent at the time. Realtor Kirsten stated that she did not mention this (whether knowingly or unknowingly). This was subsequently documented in writing in the final report, as well as that the defect would be resolved by the sellers, together with the realtor. However, the repair work on the shutters has unfortunately not been carried out. After repeatedly attempting to contact realtor Kirsten by telephone and in writing, we ultimately gave her notice of default. In response to this, realtor Kirsten insisted on not pursuing the matter further, arguing that we were already aware of the defect during the final inspection, which is incorrect and incomplete. During the building inspection, it was not noted that the shutters were defective, only that they did not work at that specific moment. The substitute real estate agent present at the building survey indicated that she could also find nothing about this in the file. In the realtor’s defense after the final inspection, she informed us that the substitute real estate agent had indicated this during the inspection. An inaccuracy. Fortunately, we are well insured and the damage was covered by our insurer. They stated that we would have won the case, but the legal costs would be higher than the damages incurred. Due to the above events, we unfortunately experienced more stress than necessary at the time of a relocation. It’s a shame that such real estate agents still exist. In light of the above, this may be a reason why Westhuis Makelaardij is not affiliated with NVM.
