Wij hebben een appartement aangekocht in Lelystad waarbij Domvast en met name Susanne de verkopende makelaar was. Wij herkennen niets van sommige verhalen hier , Domvast was correct en snel in het contact . Ook de kennismaking met Susanne was vanaf het eerste moment erg prettig . Geen gladde verkoop trucks of praatjes rustig en eerlijk en ons het gevoel laten krijgen met de woning. Ook een 2e afspraak om wat dingen op te meten en de woning nog een keer goed in ons op te nemen was geen enkele moeite. Kortom een prettig kantoor wat hun afspraken nakomt . Susanne is een prettige en empathische vrouw die haar vak verstaat .

Onze ervaring met Domvast Makelaars uit Utrecht was over het algemeen prima. Wat direct opviel, was hun diepgaande kennis van de lokale markt, met name in de wijk Zuilen. Ze lieten echt zien dat ze daar hun netwerk en expertise hebben, en dat onderscheidde hen. Edit: it appears they rented me a social housing property under a free sector contract. Great. Original: Seemed like a good realtor when I looked back a few years. Now happily rid of them for several months due to sale to a new owner who has not taken over their management (not domvast), the only bright spot during corona. Legal obligations (such as providing an accounting of service costs after 6 months) are not met or unknown (and yes, I'm looking at you Esther, someone hiring you shows what kind of incompetence exists within domvast). They charge (and defend) costs that are not allowed. After signing, their accessibility goes to 0. Installers/viewings and more are carried out while no one in the house knows anything about it (sometimes without anyone present). And so on. In addition, domvast did not report any of our mutual problems to my new landlord during the sale (which is also legally required, because the new owner takes everything over, including any dispute).

Used Domvast for purchase and sale. Helped by Mike in both matters. Purchase: expert guidance throughout the process with good advice on, among other things, bidding strategy. Moreover, Mike quickly understood what we were looking for in a home and what our taste was. This resulted in us having few 'pointless' viewings. In addition, he would already gather more information about properties we were interested in before we asked or knew we were interested, so we were always well prepared. All in all, we were able to purchase a property in a short time, with limited viewings and bids, in a very overheated market. Sale: good guidance throughout the process, very beautiful photos, a good sales strategy was set up and the house was sold very quickly at a very good price, with fast handling as well. General: Support from the office could sometimes be better; we often had to correct information (in e.g., purchase contracts) ourselves despite providing the documents where everything was stated. Very strange and sloppy way of doing things. The viewing wasn't of the property I had responded to (and there was also no real estate agent present), and when I was subsequently selected, it took days (and two confirmations from the caretaker) for them to accept that I had viewed a different property than the one listed in the advertisement. Before that, they insisted that this house number corresponded with the property I had viewed, which was not the case at all. Even these basic things cost an extreme amount of time to rectify. The contact was very difficult (my questions were not answered, no effort was made whatsoever and everything seemed too much to ask), but when my father got involved, answering questions suddenly became possible. The contract was further sloppily formatted (it also only consisted of images making printing/searching within the document impossible) and was full of errors and articles that we found very strange (e.g., that the landlord was not liable for any moisture problems). After some back-and-forth emailing, almost everything became clear and we were almost in agreement except for one article. After further insistence to have this article removed from the contract, we were informed that the article would not be removed from the contract, that the property would be put online again and they would look for another tenant. This while the entire process was already complete, except for signing the rental agreement. The real estate agent who emailed us was subsequently unreachable by phone. If you stand up for your rights as a tenant and want a normal contract, Domvast is not the right place to go!

Where the positive reviews for this company, and especially for Esther, come from is a real mystery to me. Absolutely a worthless company. Communication is bad and unfriendly, if you have certain questions about the rental agreement they are not answered or simply by copy pasting parts of the contract, they are barely reachable by phone but always know how to find you when it's urgent for them and then speak in a very nasty and coercive tone. We were right in the middle of the first lockdown (April 2020) evicted from our rental home without any form of empathy, just a standard email one and a half months beforehand and that was it. Subsequently, Joost and Esther even came to visit us at home for a conversation where we would 'meet each other halfway', which actually meant they came to intimidate us and told us we should feel sorry for the owner of the house because the 'housing market was collapsing' (we all know how that ultimately went). Oh, and we also had to pay double rent for a month, because when we found something new it suddenly wasn’t so urgent that we had to leave. We eventually also enlisted legal help because we were paying an absurdly high rent for our mini apartment, and the Rental Committee assessed that we paid over €200,- too much for our rent. Our deposit we only got back after we threatened to involve legal assistance again. I could go on with this story much longer, but please, despite the shortage in the housing market: do yourself a big favor and avoid this company at all costs as a tenant. And if you are already renting from them: have your contract checked by a lawyer. You would be surprised what these people are capable of.
