29 Mar 2025In our search for a sales broker, we came into contact with Hans. The initial contact was immediately pleasant and positive. He guided us well through the sales process, and was the only one of the three brokers we had invited who came up with the good idea to have photos taken during our vacation. That pragmatic attitude is characteristic of Hans and decisive in our choice for him. We have not regretted that. Hans adapts easily and is flexible in his approach. He listens well to wishes and then gives good advice. He always responded within a day to our questions and he kept appointments. After some setbacks in our own purchase process, he recommended another skilled purchasing broker, Kersten. Which made us feel enormously helped. We can confirm, as several reviews already say, that Hans is a friendly, honest and skilled broker!

He has all the good qualities of a good Real Estate Agent: a. Electrified response, so fast even during his vacation. Always ready to answer all questions, especially because we are expats, we have more questions about the process, the neighborhood etc. B. Very well informed about the area, the market and always willing to share advice based on his experience. C. We relied exclusively on his advice and guidance and was always ready to help outside of his reach. He even answered our mortgage-related questions. Hans, you really should take this job too, because you are too good. D. He has good contacts and repo's with other real estate agents in the market which is a bonus point or an advantage would say compared to others. Have a good network in Utrecht. The only downside is that they are consistently 5 to 10 minutes late for viewings - but if you know that beforehand, there’s nothing wrong with it. 29 Sep 2024Short review: If you want to buy in Utrecht and want the best real estate agent, stop searching. This is it. You’ve found them. Long story: Like many tenants, I received a message three weeks ago that my rental agreement was ending and that I needed to look for a new home. Because the market is overheated and isn't going to get any better, I started looking for the best real estate agents in the Utrecht region. Look at this: Van Doorn Makelaars. The communication and advice from the team were friendly, clear, and fast. In short: top. Expectations were set during the initial consultation about what was realistic for my challenging bachelor budget (there was much more possible than I expected). And during the search itself, extra care was taken to ensure I didn’t fall in love with a house where there was a high chance I wouldn’t be able to acquire it. During the viewings, Sebastiaan and Bert Jan truly showed all the expertise you could wish for from real estate agents. Not only pointing out flaws that I hadn't thought of (and they were always right!) and asking the difficult but important questions of the seller, but also helping to brainstorm about ways to make each house my home and giving really sound advice on bidding strategy. This act of expertise from the entire Van Doorn team led to the following result: Dream house, in the dream neighborhood on the hottest market in the Netherlands, and the whole process took a total of 1 week. He personally conducted all viewings, which ensured a personal and professional approach. The photographer he works with also delivered top quality – we were very pleased with the photos and videos of our home. Thanks to Merlijn's sharp advice on the asking price, we received over 34 viewings and 16 bids. The final bid was significantly above the asking price – more than expected! Communication was truly 10/10: always quick response, clear and engaged. After acceptance, everything went incredibly fast: the inspection and appraisal took place the next day, the draft purchase agreement was ready that same evening, and everything was finalized within four days. Super efficiently arranged. Absolutely recommended!

Even when he was on leave, the office ensured someone else was available to assist, which we greatly appreciated. Ludenhoff also provided financial advice, which was enormously helpful. The advisor made arranging the loan and life insurance easy, taking a lot of work off our shoulders.
