She has once again managed to successfully sell a beautiful two-under-one-roof house in Houten-Oost. What truly sets her apart for us is the fact that she made everything as easy as possible for us. She is clear and friendly in her communication and relieved us of so many things, often taking initiative. Even when our administrative paperwork didn't go smoothly, she helped us get it done anyway. Denise is a real estate agent who truly thinks along with her clients and is incredibly flexible and extremely patient! In addition, she was very understanding of our situation and managed to facilitate this process for us in various ways. Despite the emotional burden, we can sell the house with peace of mind to very nice and respectful buyers. Which was really a plus for us. Here too, Denise listened and respected our wish. All in all, we can only conclude that Denise truly does this work with love, which is clearly reflected in the numbers. 13 Sep 2024In short: just don't do it! Explanation can be found below. ________________________________________ From A to Z, this process has been very unprofessional. The real estate agent we appointed for the sale, Skender, went on vacation immediately after accepting the offer, without any notification. Afterwards, we were left with his replacement, Remco, and that was a terrible experience all around. Here's a list: 1. Remco never answered when you called and didn't respond to messages -- even the notary mentioned during the sale that Remco is known for being unavailable. 2. Remco also didn't introduce himself after taking over from Skender. He didn't say anything and offered no information about the viewings he had planned. 3. Remco provided false information during the viewings, which has also negatively impacted the selling price of our house. 4. Remco was very rude all around. 5. Remco sold items with the house that were not for sale. 6. When Remco was confronted about this, he said: 'I'm not going to negotiate over a few items.' Ultimately, due to his attitude and unwillingness to advocate for our interests, we were unable to keep our belongings. 7. Remco made agreements with the purchasing party regarding the terms of the sale that were not discussed with us. When the notary tried to call him about this, he -of course- didn't answer either. And so on. When we contacted Skender about the substandard service provided, Skender was very indignant that we were dissatisfied. He did not acknowledge our frustrations and we also experienced no improvement or received any apologies. All in all, there was a huge lack of transparency, accessibility and customer focus. It is absolutely not recommended to work with either of these two men. They are both completely incompetent and unprofessional real estate agents.

A nice extra was that drone images of the area were made, and that much work was taken out of our hands. For example: measuring the house was not entirely correct, the real estate agent arranged for us to ensure it was correct.

Moreover, he had helped us earlier with the sale of my mother's house, where he proposed a cautious strategy which we as a couple had different opinions about. 27 Oct 2025About a year ago, we moved from Van der Zaanstraat 1 3317WT Dordrecht. Melvin de Makelaar represented the homeowner and behaved very impolitely towards us, the tenants, during checkout. First, they were late for our checkout appointment and then they told us that we had to pay for a dirty oven. We asked for it to be cleaned, which was 20 minutes of work, but he refused. Later, he deducted €250 from our deposit. Very impolite behavior, I would never recommend this real estate agent. By the way, I later complained to the owner and got my money back.

10 Apr 2025We have collaborated with Melvin twice. Both times it was a great experience, and most importantly, Melvin helped us both times in finding the right house for us. The first time we were looking for a property in the Netherlands. We weren't even in the Netherlands when we did so. Melvin is a good listener. He listened to all our wishes and requirements, made a shortlist of houses that were on the market, and after the second (online) viewing, we had our first house in a new country. He also knows the market and all the details about it. That helps with the negotiation and bidding process. After living in a rental property for 1.5 years, we decided to buy a home of our own. We knew who to call. Melvin of course :) Here too, he listened carefully to us, gave good advice, and put us in contact with the right people (notary, mortgage advisor, technical inspection etc.). After two months of searching, we found a house for ourselves. Melvin played a crucial role in the bidding process and helped us be selected as buyers. We are now enjoying our dream home. For the sale of my mother's house, we were guided by Hans Konings. He is honest and clear about what can and cannot be done. Very helpful, even with the buying party who did not have a real estate agent. Everything arranged from A to Z. Always responds quickly, even in the evening or on weekends. He guided us well through the sales process, and was the only one of the three brokers we had invited who came up with the good idea to have photos taken during our vacation. That pragmatic attitude is characteristic of Hans and decisive in our choice for him. We have not regretted that. Hans adapts easily and is flexible in his approach. He listens well to wishes and then gives good advice. He always responded within a day to our questions and he kept appointments. After some setbacks in our own purchase process, he recommended another skilled purchasing broker, Kersten. Which made us feel enormously helped. We can confirm, as several reviews already say, that Hans is a friendly, honest and skilled broker!

He possesses all the good qualities of a great real estate agent: a) Quick response, even during his vacation. Always ready to answer all our questions, especially since we as expats had more questions about the process, neighborhood, etc. b) Very well informed about the surroundings, the market and always willing to give advice based on his experience. c) We fully trusted his advice and guidance and he was always there to help beyond his scope of work. He even answered our mortgage questions. Hans, you should definitely take this job because you are too good at it. d) He has good connections and a good reputation among other real estate agents in the market, which gives him an edge or rather, a head start over others.
