02 Oct 2025Sjouke is very friendly and helpful and really puts his energy into finding a house. He is extremely helpful to people from outside the Netherlands when navigating the Dutch home hunting and purchasing process, and the process went relatively smoothly despite us being almost 10 hours apart (and nine time zones). This included working with us, taking into account the time difference in various ways (including sending videos of viewings) and explaining the required documentation and legal procedures in English, as well as providing an English copy of most of it. His experience in the field is also evident because during his viewings he spotted many potential issues that we certainly would not have seen, especially not through video calls. Ultimately, his help was invaluable during our successful home hunt (we even received a very thoughtful gift at the housewarming after closing, which we greatly appreciated) and I would definitely recommend him to all of our friends abroad looking for a house in Utrecht!

Als expats waren we volkomen onbekend met Nederland, en vooral de huizenmarkt. Sjouke heeft ons hierin enorm geholpen! Hij bezit veel kennis van de Nederlandse huizenmarkt, met name in en om Utrecht. Hij legde de verschillende aspecten van de markt uit tot in detail, beantwoordde elke vraag (sommige zelfs niet gerelateerd aan het kopen van een huis!) en hielp ons gemakkelijk door de zeer competitieve Nederlandse huizenmarkt navigeren. De backoffice van Sjouke stuurde ons elke ochtend nieuwe huizen op de markt toe en we planden bezichtigingen in voor de huizen die we leuk vonden. Hij vergezelde ons vervolgens persoonlijk bij elke bezichtiging en gaf ons inzicht in de locatie, details over de bouw van het huis en wees ons op zaken die we anders nooit hadden opgemerkt. Bovendien beschikt Sjouke over een fantastisch netwerk van lokale professionals op het gebied van woningvestiging en bouw waarop we konden rekenen: hij hielp ons met het vinden van contacten voor inspecteurs, taxateurs, hypotheekverstrekkers, notarissen tot vertalers. Hij werkte samen met hen allemaal om ervoor te zorgen dat onze aankoop zonder problemen verliep. Doordat hij alle details en processen regelde, konden we ons concentreren op wat het belangrijkst voor ons was: het vinden van een huis waar we helemaal weg van waren. We have viewed several properties and know the real estate market in our own country (Germany) quite well, but the 'rules' in the Netherlands are very different in some respects. Sjouke helped us to understand this market because he explained the entire process very clearly and pointed out what we should pay attention to. Also regarding the emotionally draining bidding process, Sjouke reassured us and gave us excellent and reliable advice. Ultimately, of course, you yourself must decide how much you want to offer in this crazy market, but with Sjouke you always have the feeling that you have an experienced captain guiding you through stormy seas. From the first moment on, we as a family had full confidence in this office and that proved to be justified. Date unknownGetting a home valuation done is not recommended. Poor communication and ultimately a long wait for the report. The phone isn't answered which almost led us to have a second valuation performed to avoid problems with the mortgage. That’s hardly service and they are expensive too. Edit: Later approached with apologies and explanation from their side about what went wrong, which was very nice.

She has once again managed to successfully sell a beautiful two-under-one-roof house in Houten-Oost. What truly sets her apart for us is the fact that she made everything as easy as possible for us. She is clear and friendly in her communication and relieved us of so many things, often taking initiative. Even when our administrative paperwork didn't go smoothly, she helped us get it done anyway. Denise is a real estate agent who truly thinks along with her clients and is incredibly flexible and extremely patient! In addition, she was very understanding of our situation and managed to facilitate this process for us in various ways. Without his help we would not have been able to find our current home. After an introductory meeting at our home, Marijn sent daily before the offer appeared on funda available homes. With a keen eye, he showed us all (in)possibilities during viewings. What we particularly liked was that Marijn is always accessible for questions and advice, which is very nice in such a stressful process as buying a house. His large network also helped with the purchasing process, for example by referring us to a pleasant mortgage advisor. A nice informal atmosphere and good contact via WhatsApp and phone calls. He is always very accessible and responds quickly. We didn't even view that many properties afterwards, but the viewings we did with Marijn were enjoyable. He looks carefully, asks many questions of the selling real estate agent, isn't averse to having a chat with the neighbors, and also thinks well about possibilities with you. After less than one and a half months of searching, we found our house and he ensured that we could buy our first home through good negotiation work. Ultimately, the bid was even slightly lower than we were prepared to go! We never thought it could happen so quickly in such a turbulent market as this. So if you are looking for a buyer's agent, don't hesitate any longer!

We are very happy that we ultimately chose Marijn due to the easy contact and the offer via Whatsapp. No hassle with an in-house department but direct communication and the possibility of asking questions. In addition, Marijn also provides advice on the entire process from after the purchase and for any possible renovation. He responds quickly and is always available. In short, top!

20 Sep 2025When purchasing our house in De Bilt, Thea was the selling real estate agent. Although Thea really tries her best, she is very careless, communicates poorly, and does not keep appointments. After the purchase of the house, the agreement was that we could visit the house again to take some measurements. At the agreed time, no one appeared, later a wrong key was given to us, and ultimately we were only able to pick up the key late in the evening from the cleaner. In other words, a day off for nothing. During the handover, an incorrect list was delivered, causing several kitchen appliances/white goods to be taken away that should have remained. There was goodwill from Thea to resolve this quickly. But when it came down to it, Thea did not respond to messages and did not answer her phone. Ultimately 2 weeks of discussion after which a stove was finally installed. Thea's chaos was a blemish on the purchase of our house.

The asking price was ambitiously set (I thought: 'it will never happen') and the property was sold within 2 weeks for a price close to it. Above expectations! Photography of the property was professional and certainly contributed to many visits on Funda. Jo Rijksen handled the negotiations well with 3 bids and secured the compromise at the right moment. In short: I am very satisfied with this transaction.

He gives clear and honest feedback and never pushed us or tried to sell us anything, no 'sales pitches'. The people at Visie are also lovely to deal with. They work very professionally, respond quickly, and are helpful. In addition, it's clear what you’re signing up for when entering into the assignment, no nasty surprises. For a next assignment we will definitely return to them.

02 Aug 2024After a pleasant introduction, the contact with Ard always ran smoothly. During the viewings, there was an app group for us and the agency of Visie, so we could quickly switch. A nice extra was that drone images of the area were made, and that much work was taken out of our hands. For example: measuring the house was not entirely correct, the real estate agent arranged for us to ensure it was correct.
