Remmie has years of experience as a real estate agent and appraiser in the local housing market of Utrecht. Not a slick, quick young man, but an involved real estate agent with a positive factor. When it initially didn't go smoothly, Remmie helped keep his head cool. With some patience, and some strategic adjustments to how the property was put on the market, it was still sold quite quickly and for a good amount. Thanks to his good advice and guidance, I have more than earned back the costs of his services. If I ever needed a real estate agent again in the Utrecht region, I would call Remmie.

I was called twice for two different houses and the person on the phone was quite irritated when I asked her to give me 1 minute to consult with my friend about the times. If I compare other brokers with this company, it's not the best experience. They tried to call my friend for my review, while I was the one who signed for the houses and they had my number. I hope you respect my point of view.

Date unknownIn the past, I got into serious trouble with Niek Maathuis and received a 10 percent penalty due to a property purchase that was signed subject to conditions. He left me in the lurch as a buyer at that time. Incidentally, I won that lawsuit. But Niek has left me with a lingering aftertaste and a scar. My trust in this real estate agent is completely gone. I wouldn't even give Niek 1 star with his smooth talk, but he doesn't understand anything legally. Until today, no apologies received, truly worthless. And this real estate agent never heard from again!!! Finally, after so many years, called the next day with apologies, and all of that due to 1 review, but are you going to say that you don’t recognize my story? Is that your way of resolving things properly?

I am very disappointed. E-mails that were not seen. The realtor did not keep us informed that he was also in negotiation with another party. And I think that is mandatory.. Phone calls where you are not called back. And now we've lost the property to another bidder. I don't think this is how things usually go…

25 Oct 2024I would no longer be able to recommend Melvin. My wife and I have lived in many different cities around the world, and never before have we had a better experience with a rental service. Melvin is patient, responsive and incredibly knowledgeable about the real estate market in Utrecht (that's where we worked with him, and I am sure he is also great in the other places where he works!). We also heartily recommend Melvin to expats. Because we come from abroad, there were many documents, bills, etc. that we did not need to arrange for a rental property. Melvin was able to help us through all of this, and despite the difficult housing market, we were able to find a place that we absolutely love. We highly recommend Melvin's services, and if we ever move or want to buy something, Melvin will be our permanent partner.

25 Jul 2024Worst service ever. Melvin scheduled a viewing with me and in the email he did not mention the door number of the building/apartment. When I arrived there, I was lost without information about the building, because there were multiple identical ones. Despite calling him several times, he didn't answer his phone. It took me more than 1 hour to get there by train and he simply doesn't care about people’s time. Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful.

Hello Sandra, I think that next time you should carefully check your email before writing a review. Because on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at 7:22:49 PM we sent you an email with the complete address. So instead of shouting that we have the 'Worst Service Ever', I think it's better to first check your own records. I have sent you proof of the email. And yes, during viewings I do not answer the phone. Because we hold private viewings with all our candidates, my phone is then on silent. Good luck finding a new apartment.
