During this conversation, I was surprised by the enthusiasm of the broker and the time he took to answer my questions and provide advice. Especially remarkable that this conversation took place on Friday evening, well after 18:00. His role as a sales broker changed into a purchasing broker upon acquaintance. This resulted, to our amazement and to our delight, fairly quickly in a purchase and a lovely apartment, it's A'dam Good Story. 23 May 2024Unreliable realtor. Doesn't keep appointments and 1 star is actually too much. Unfortunately, I cannot respond to the reaction of the owner below and wanted to leave it at the bad review, but the response below asks for some clarification, so here’s what happened: - Tel Krop sold a house via bidding - We had the winning bid - Written confirmation from Monique Krop. List of movable assets shared. Notary confirmed. - The notary prepared the documents for the transfer - The party that had offered less in the bidding process still wanted to offer more, while we already had confirmation of the purchase and the documents were with the notary. We were offered a compensation if we would withdraw, because we were formally the buyers. - Ultimately went with the other buyer anyway, without compensating us. Not only ethically very questionable, but also illegal. I think it speaks for itself that you should stay as far away from Monique Krop as possible.

In the sales process, there is unfortunately always only 1 party that can be the buyer and people will always be disappointed. We act on behalf of our clients (in this case the sellers) and always strive for the maximum result. If that means we have to disappoint other parties like yourselves as buyers, then that is regrettable.

23 May 20220 stars, 1 star would be generous. Moved to a recently renovated apartment on the Eerste van der Helststraat in Amsterdam. No internet. In the 21st century. Had to contact them to get the builder back to dig out the walls to find and connect the cable. Great start. Next; leak in the toilet ceiling. Every time someone showered upstairs. Had to contact them for repair. When I dared to ask a builder to take a look myself, I was put in my place and told that they had to decide whether they would incur damage or if I would do it myself. Yes, I flooded my own ceiling?! It's clear I decided I did, because 1.5 years later it still hasn’t been repaired. Nice shower room…impractically designed. No shower door, so water goes everywhere. The door wasn’t painted with the right paint, peeling off, swollen and the wood is rotting. Contacted them. An ‘assessor’ came out. Then nothing. What's next? Oh yes, the apartment upstairs is being renovated. After a particularly heavy rainstorm you wake up at 05:00 am with brown water steaming along the bedroom walls. Mad dash to save the furniture. I informed the bureau, but had to contact the builders myself to carry out the repair upstairs to prevent my apartment from being further destroyed. Bedroom unusable for 3 days while I dried it out, having to sleep on the couch. Sent several emails with photos and video, no response. Ceilings and walls are brown in color and are frankly disgusting. Heard a strange noise in the kitchen next week. Another leak from the ceiling. Enough water to fill a bucket. Managed to grab the builder and he repaired it. But not before my kitchen wall got a lovely moisture level. Sent another email with photos and videos, absolutely no response. Let's not forget that the builders don’t lay dust sheets or protect the area. The entire staircase was filled with cement dust and the navy blue carpet turned white. You can’t walk down the stairs without getting stains on your clothes. Emailed about this and then received a reply…that it would be cleaned when the work was finished. So in 4 months. Do you want us to live in this asthma-hazard for four months?! Another agent picked up the same message and sent a cleaning round (which only vacuumed the carpet, the staircase walls are still sticky and filthy). How could I forget the poor ventilation. Every time someone cooks downstairs, smokes or even farts, my apartment smells like it. Seriously, my friend has asthma, so the cigarette smell really affects him, it's stifling. Told them about this. They did…absolutely nothing. Well, Mr. Assessor came again, which led to more nothing. Had a realtor when renting this place, she also tried to contact them and was ignored. Had reviews that she wrote and left on Facebook and Google removed, which they will probably try to do with these as well. Oh, and don’t bother calling, they never answer and then don't call back. At this point I think they are screening calls. Although they knowingly ignored me, they managed to inform me via email of a rent increase during the last two leaks. So someone works there! Why don’t they respond? I can only speculate that it is because they may be obliged to inform the owner of the building about such problems and the costs they incur, so it's better to ignore this and feign the happiness of the tenant?! I suspect they will try to postpone the repair and do it at the same time and fit and paint the upper floor so that the costs can be masked and included in the renovation costs. Just my suspicion. How would you describe this? Mismanagement seems like an understatement. I’m living with rotting walls and mold enough to cry out loud! And the rent isn't cheap, let's call it premium prices. They clearly don’t care about the properties they manage or the conditions for the people who live in them. Amsterdam is a fast market, they can re-rent within a few hours. It's clear that they only care about their money. Whatever this level of unprofessionalism is called, it’s completely disgusting and I would like to ask everyone to seriously consider allowing these clowns to rent out or lease their properties.

13 Sep 2024In short: just don't do it! Explanation can be found below. ________________________________________ From A to Z, this process has been very unprofessional. The real estate agent we appointed for the sale, Skender, went on vacation immediately after accepting the offer, without any notification. Afterwards, we were left with his replacement, Remco, and that was a terrible experience all around. Here's a list: 1. Remco never answered when you called and didn't respond to messages -- even the notary mentioned during the sale that Remco is known for being unavailable. 2. Remco also didn't introduce himself after taking over from Skender. He didn't say anything and offered no information about the viewings he had planned. 3. Remco provided false information during the viewings, which has also negatively impacted the selling price of our house. 4. Remco was very rude all around. 5. Remco sold items with the house that were not for sale. 6. When Remco was confronted about this, he said: 'I'm not going to negotiate over a few items.' Ultimately, due to his attitude and unwillingness to advocate for our interests, we were unable to keep our belongings. 7. Remco made agreements with the purchasing party regarding the terms of the sale that were not discussed with us. When the notary tried to call him about this, he -of course- didn't answer either. And so on. When we contacted Skender about the substandard service provided, Skender was very indignant that we were dissatisfied. He did not acknowledge our frustrations and we also experienced no improvement or received any apologies. All in all, there was a huge lack of transparency, accessibility and customer focus. It is absolutely not recommended to work with either of these two men. They are both completely incompetent and unprofessional real estate agents.

I contacted them because I wanted help determining a good offer for a house, as I naturally want to make an offer that is proportionate to the house. Ultimately came up with an offer that was tens of thousands of euros above the appraisal value and above other bids. Of course, you only find out about that later. I don't understand house prices, so that’s why I engaged a buyer's agent. So yeah, too much trust. But unfortunately, Skender showed 0 reflection and responsibility in this and mainly wants his invoice to be paid.

01 May 2025Wij hebben een appartement gehuurd via Prestige Housing. Manuela (vastgoedmanager/geen vastgoedeigenaar) presenteert zichzelf als zeer professioneel en meewerkend, maar dat is absoluut een illusie. Toen we hier kwamen wonen, kwamen we erachter dat er een aantal dingen kapot waren en gerepareerd moesten worden. Voor sommige dingen duurde het meer dan zes maanden om gerepareerd te worden, terwijl er maandelijks behoorlijk wat geld betaald moest worden. Ze liet mij niet de keuze om zelf contact op te nemen met de eigenaar van het pand om een aantal problemen op te lossen. Gelukkig is hij zeer collegiaal en redelijk. Iets wat Manuela duidelijk niet is. Ik zou het niet aanraden om met haar samen te werken als huurder of eigenaar van onroerend goed. Haar manier van communiceren is zeer onaangenaam en onredelijk. 2e beoordeling (na huurperiode) nadat we het appartement hadden verlaten, werd het nog erger. Manuela sms'te me dat ik deze 1-sterrenrecensie moest verwijderen. Haar betoog; mijn beoordeling klopt niet. Ze dreigde me zelfs met juridische stappen als ik deze recensie niet zou verwijderen. Naar mijn mening portretteert dit Manuela in alle opzichten. In ons geval heeft zij geen verantwoordelijkheid genomen voor haar nalatigheid tijdens onze huurperiode. Het was een complete nachtmerrie voor mij en mijn gezin om haar als vastgoedbeheerder te hebben.

31 May 2020Prestige Housing knows the Amsterdam rental market, has contacts with companies where expats work. I had my apartment for rent through a real estate agent for a month and it wasn't rented out. Prestige Housing took different photos, a different description. Within a few days I had three viewings and within a week it was rented out. Clear price agreements. Highly recommended.

24 May 2024We were scammed by this agency. We rented an apartment for 2700 (Lindengracht 332), which they advertised as recently renovated and beautiful. In reality, this apartment was filthy and disgusting. The walls had black mold in multiple places, the furniture was broken, and every corner of the apartment was dirty, worn out, and disgusting. After confronting them about the problems, they started lying and blaming my family members for ‘not following standard procedure’, which was completely untrue. Ultimately, we had to hire a lawyer, but we were able to get our deposit back, but we were still scammed an extra € 1350,- due to the cheap landlord who refused to take responsibility for his disgusting apartment.

22 Jul 2024Joost is a really great realtor. He is knowledgeable, both technically and procedurally. He helped me with the sale of my apartment. Something that didn't seem too complex to me beforehand, but which turned out to involve much more fine-tuning and timing. He has a good view of the market and really knows what he's talking about. Truly very pleasant how he guides you through such a process, which you don't go through every day. Finally, he is particularly honest and funny too. It's starting to get a bit boring, but I can’t help but give him 5 stars. Really can’t think of anything he didn’t do optimally.

22 Apr 2024If you're still hesitant about a real estate agent, don't be. Joost is truly a very good, reliable real estate agent who achieves great results. We are incredibly happy with how well Joost guided us through the entire sale of our house and thought along with us much more than we dared to hope. Our situation was quite complex but Joost was always there for us and took the time to discuss everything thoroughly and look for solutions. Another major plus point is that Joost is also very reliable in calling back, something we missed with other real estate agents. We never had to call back, mostly Joost would pick up immediately or call back quickly. And an addition from my husband “Joost has a good sense of humor”. Something which is not unimportant either 😅 If we have to describe Joost in 2 words it's "honest and reliable".

Zijn begeleiding bij de laatste stappen van het process waren ontzettend waardevol, bijvoorbeeld met het doorlezen van de vele (juridische) documenten die je moet doorlezen. Joost erbij hebben gaf ons de ruimte om ons minder te daarmee bezig te houden en juist het moment van een huis kopen ook echt te vieren! Achteraf gezien had ik J-OOST er meteen bij moeten betrekken! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Buying a house is an incredibly messy and chaotic phase of your life that comes with a huge amount of stress. <span class='text-oranje-500'>the minute we involved Joost in our purchase he was an unending source of organization and tranquility.</span> His guidance in the final steps of the process was of incredible value, for example when Joost did a close reading of the many (legal) documents you are expected to read. <div class='text-blauw-500'>This freed us from having to worry about all this and gave us the headspace to enjoy the moment of achievement that comes with buying a house!</div> My only regret is that I didn't involve J-OOST from the start!
