14 Nov 2025Fly Schagen, the party that handled the entire purchase process from start to finish on our behalf. Of course, this comes with a cost, but that's a choice you make and they are very transparent about it. I dare to say 100% that I would do it again. Buying a house is not just something, there's a lot to consider and for every question we had, there was almost 24x7 an answer found via a whatsapp group where several employees of Fly Schagen were present. During a meeting during an inspection, they think about things you yourself don't even think of. Kitchen drawers, cabinets and doors are opened with a very critical eye while you yourself are only surprised by how beautiful the floor is. I can recommend Fly Schagen for all your property purchases. The communication is very simple and you are dealing with people who know what they're talking about. Is your fixed real estate agent on vacation? Then you get a colleague assigned to you directly who speaks exactly the same language. 5/5 stars for this party. I am now the happy owner of a new home thanks to Fly Schagen.

05 Oct 2025We came across Fly Real Estate through a new construction project they were selling. Here, we were assigned agent Tygo. Although that project did not work out for us, we stayed with him because he advised us honestly and transparently from the start. Tygo is an incredibly enthusiastic and competent real estate agent. He helped us tremendously in finding a home and selling my partner’s apartment. The communication was always easy: Tygo is very reachable and thinks along with you. Even on his free evenings or weekends, he goes out of his way for you. We as a couple sometimes have somewhat peculiar, sarcastic humor, but that was fortunately no problem with Tygo. Despite him taking his work very seriously and professionally, there’s always room for a joke. This makes the search for a new home and viewings light-hearted and enjoyable. The communication within Fly Real Estate is incredibly fast; if Tygo wasn’t available, one of his colleagues would respond almost immediately and take up our question. If we ever sell or buy another house again, we will definitely approach Fly Real Estate.

15 Sep 2025During a viewing, Judith from Optima was the selling agent. We were treated very politely; moreover, she had her knowledge in order and could answer most of our questions. You would think that is normal, but after having looked at many houses and spoken to various agents, it turns out this is not so self-evident. Her open and non-intrusive way of working made us decide to contact Judith as a buying agent, who then helped us throughout the process. During this period, she was always available to answer questions and often accompanied us on viewings. She has incredible patience! After a relatively long time, due to our rather picky nature, we found our dream home and were well guided through the purchase process. Our house also needed to be sold; the Optima team provided excellent assistance with that as well. The consultation mostly went directly via WhatsApp for adjusting texts, evaluating photos, and scheduling viewings, which made everything run smoothly and quickly. And in the end, Rick and Judith ensured our house was sold swiftly and once again guided us through the rest of the process!

10 Oct 2025I would like to compliment the real estate agents at RE/MAX along this route, particularly Tim van der Kruit and Marco Jonk, for their expert information regarding a free valuation on appraisal day (which ultimately took place last Thursday). Marco did this for me last year, and I followed up with Tim this year. I wanted to know how the market developed specifically for our house over the past year. Both were extremely knowledgeable and relevant, as it turned out that the conversation with Tim mirrored exactly what happened with Marco last year, and they also complemented each other very well. There was no immediate financial gain at first, but both meetings resulted in a professional-looking, documented report. Tim did not know about Marco's visit last year, but it quickly became clear that he operates on the same wavelength as Marco!! For this I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks, because they have been of great help to me. I believe that his support in finding and brokering a deal for our house in Zwaag was essential to the successful result. I would recommend Martin if you want to buy a house. And because I come from Great Britain and have lived/worked in Amsterdam for several years, it's a big step to move to an unfamiliar environment - Martin helped make this journey run smoothly. Also, for excellent financial advice, I would recommend Olaf at Huis en Hypotheek (I wish I had found such an expert in mortgages a few years ago!) This is located next to the RE/MAX office in Hoorn.

Buying and selling a house is not something we do every day, so we certainly weren't familiar with the world of real estate... Afterwards, we contacted Marius from 'van het riet makelaars'. Marius is an incredibly pleasant realtor who helped us well in searching for a new home at our own pace. Ultimately, we came to a plot where Marius was able to mean a lot to us. Marius was always available (sorry for the messages ;) ) and was a very good sparring partner with questions. After purchasing the plot, we were also allowed to sell our house via 'van het Riet'. Again, nothing but praise; we wanted to sell quickly. The photographer came and the team at 'van het riet' took everything out of our hands. Thanks! What pleasant no-nonsense realtors. Top.
