Selling a house for the first time seemed very exciting to us but luckily there was no reason for that. We felt very comfortable and the rest actually went smoothly afterwards. My partner and I had a terrible experience with Jolanda from Pappie & Van der Zee. We received a verbal agreement that our offer was accepted after a short negotiation; the realtor said that if we agreed to a higher price, they would cancel all subsequent viewings of the apartment and confirm that the apartment was ours. We agreed and were promised a follow-up email with a formal negotiating letter. We were overjoyed and shared this with our family and friends. We waited four hours, until the end of Friday, and then received a phone call from the realtor who said they were 'about to send us the contract', but had received a slightly higher offer 'just as they were about to send it', and we were told that we were now in a bidding war. They asked for a higher bid to be made and to match the new offer instead of negotiating. We lost the apartment. Really? We had an agreement. If you want a realtor with some integrity, choose another one. A message to the company: please stop asking me to remove my negative review.
