Contact was generally very good. The real estate agent thinks along well, also on a personal level. Reachability is good, quick response and mutual trust. Nice interaction and realistic. We highly recommend this real estate agency.

Unfortunately, a lot went wrong. Had to call often to sort things out. Got the impression that the realtor was more occupied with the buyer than with me as their client. Did not get all the offers through. In the end, I had to get involved myself with the sale, and fortunately that did go well.

I had an appointment with this real estate agent in Rotterdam and before I could make my appointment, they told me the house had been sold. I want to point out that they are selling houses to people they know. You have to be careful. They can sell your hope to someone else.

Incorrect information about the purchased house and the house was not empty upon delivery

We had Van Der Giessen & Van Herk makelaardij to sell our house. However, the picture that was painted wasn't entirely fair; our house could potentially be sold quickly (Dec 2022). Our house ultimately stayed on the market for over 9 months with 2 price reductions! That is quite bizarre and unusual 'in this time'. We also always had to initiate the call when things weren't going well, and a strategy needed to be discussed. At one point, it was so quiet that they said from their side that if no one came to an open day anymore, removing the house from the market might be the only remaining option! You really can't sell like that as a selling real estate agent (who were supposed to represent our interests). The communication also didn't always go smoothly. We have had all real estate agents and property advisors (including after the takeover of Woonschuijt makelaardij); so there wasn't one fixed point of contact, which didn't improve communication. Afterwards, we gathered information for the sale of our house within our own network and implemented it. After that, our house was indeed sold. Why then only 2 stars? They were friendly. We therefore do not recommend them.

Bought a house through this broker, which went quite well overall. However, they forgot to mention that the shed (7m2) bordering the plot was not part of the house…., while it was cheerfully advertised via Funda and during the viewing. You would expect a broker to know what he is selling, unfortunately, this was not the case. So we received the bill for this afterwards, and the broker could no longer do anything for us. The sale was already finalized and the money had been earned.
