Promises mountains of gold when he accepts the sales assignment, but afterwards nothing comes of it and the next step is to significantly lower the asking price……….. someone who knows the market, the real estate agent, should know better, in my opinion. It strongly gives the impression that you are being misled with a high selling price while the agent knows that this is not achievable. Subsequently, the asking price is lowered. Very disappointing. We canceled the assignment at the time and went into business with another real estate agent, at a lower commission and with a positive result

The first impression was immediately good and that feeling was only reinforced during the sales process. Jan is clear in his communication, easily accessible, and open to suggestions. My questions were answered with good justification. Knowledge of the subject matter, well-groomed, correct, and reliable are words that come to mind when I think back on our collaboration. We made clear agreements based on a step-by-step plan, which Jan followed meticulously. This is how Jan works together with a stylist and photographer to prepare the house for sale. This resulted in a fantastic photo reportage. I was very impressed, and that says a lot! The team at the office supporting the process also deserves a compliment: my phone calls were answered neatly and things were handled quickly and resolved here as well. Ultimately, the sales process led to a very beautiful result where my house was sold above the asking price in a very short time. Completely satisfied!

25 Jan 2025I have gone through a very special process of over 4 years with Jan Oosterhof. My parental home was initially to be sold while my mother was still alive. Unfortunately, her death intervened. Jan Oosterhof was one of the first to send condolences. For me, the sale of the parental home, which my parents themselves had built, was a difficult and emotional process. Jan guided me excellently in this. He always kept his finger on the pulse in a pleasant way and was always ready when needed. Texts in the evening or appointments on the weekend...no problem. The process ultimately resulted in a beautiful collaboration with a heritage official. Jan was open to everything and sensitively felt what my wishes were. Together we found a buyer to whom I could transfer my parental home with a good feeling. I am very grateful to Jan Oosterhof for this, and I can therefore recommend this real estate agent 100%, especially if the sale of a house is emotionally charged. He is a real estate agent with an empathetic ability but businesslike when necessary. And not forgetting, Snelders Zijlstra Hengelo has a very pleasant team, so I have always been helped kindly, nothing seemed too much. I thank Snelders Zijlstra Hengelo and especially Jan Oosterhof for this special process 🙏.

24 Sep 2025Unfortunately, a very bad experience with Weghorst Makelaardij. From the start things went wrong: after the valuation in December 2024 there was no follow-up meeting to get to know our home well or determine a sales strategy. While other real estate agents provide tips, advice, and sometimes even stylists, Weghorst immediately started with viewings. The guidance was chaotic: after the first viewing, the sale was transferred without discussion to a colleague who did not even know our house. Four months later it seemed there was a serious offer, but the purchase agreement was never signed. We as well as the buyers received no information for weeks on end. Only when I contacted them myself did I learn that the buyers had already dropped out because they heard nothing from the real estate agent and had not received an agreement. Despite around 40 viewings, we eventually parted ways with Weghorst. It turned out later that even interested parties were rejected because there was supposedly 'already a potential buyer' – while the sale was far from finalized. Lastly: the current buyers of our home also did a valuation through Weghorst. The assignment had been pending for three weeks already, but I only received my first call yesterday. This is now causing further delays again. In short, from start to finish it has been a huge disappointment. In a market that offers opportunities, this was a real disaster for us.

Regarding the valuation, the assignment was not with us for such a long time, and the valuation was completed within 1 day so that you were still able to sell your property.
