Promises mountains of gold when he accepts the sales assignment, but afterwards nothing comes of it and the next step is to significantly lower the asking price……….. someone who knows the market, the real estate agent, should know better, in my opinion. It strongly gives the impression that you are being misled with a high selling price while the agent knows that this is not achievable. Subsequently, the asking price is lowered. Very disappointing. We canceled the assignment at the time and went into business with another real estate agent, at a lower commission and with a positive result

He gave us more information about the area and our options than any other agent, and was generally just very honest about everything. He is also the only agent who does viewings in the evening or on weekends, which was very convenient. He even contacted us when he had another property that he thought would suit us. He definitely has the buyer's interest at heart and is extremely trustworthy. He called us himself when a property we viewed received an offer from someone else so that we might also make an offer. Although we ultimately chose another option, Marco Kems even offered to help ensure everything regarding the paperwork went smoothly. Really, only the best experiences.

21 Oct 2025Misleading and abuse of false short stay rental contract This real estate agent misled me as a tenant with an illegal 'short stay' rental agreement. By doing so, the agent abuses a false 'short stay' contract name to circumvent new laws on fixed-term leases starting July 1, 2024 (this is being done en masse by landlords since the law's implementation and this real estate agent apparently collaborates with them). This behavior is highly unethical. Real estate agents must be aware of current rental laws because they are complex and frequently changing. Knowledge of these laws is crucial to comply with applicable regulations and prevent issues. By doing this, the agent has breached their duty of care towards me as a tenant. After filing a complaint about it, they suddenly want to terminate my contract in one month (!) without valid reason. This is obviously invalid. A termination must meet legal requirements, but apparently, this real estate agent does not know that either (or this is their practice). They clearly lack knowledge and are unaware of current laws. Furthermore, they show little regard for the rights or interests of tenants. Instead of professionally addressing the issue as required by the new law and recent case law (from the Supreme Court on the abuse of false 'short stay' contracts), they choose to take my complaint lightly, leading to expensive legal fees and lawsuits. I thought I would be protected because it was through an 'NVM agent,' but now it turns out this is not the case. I am compelled to report these unethical practices to the disciplinary board/committee of NVM. This simply cannot go on. The courts are clear about this, yet this real estate agent apparently does not care. NVM agents must adhere to the NVM Code of Honor, but in my case, it has been completely violated; - expertise is nowhere to be found with this real estate agent and they clearly side with the landlord - this misleading situation is far from fair or respectful towards me as a tenant - clarity and transparency are lacking in my case; they did not adhere to agreements and were/are not honest - their email about terminating my contract does nothing to improve the situation or communication - they do not take complaints seriously and seek no solution It is extremely worrying that this so-called NVM real estate agent behaves so unethically. This was my first time renting a property, and the housing market is already an enormous mess with absurd rental prices, and now I have this on top of it (I did not ask for this; I found out by chance). It has also been revealed that I am overpaying monthly and have paid €2300,- too much so far! It's a huge disaster. This real estate agent does not consider how this must be affecting me as a tenant but focuses entirely on saving themselves and the landlord from this situation. Their first reaction is to get rid of the misled tenant. I am very disappointed and angry; their actions speak for themselves.

The first impression was immediately good and that feeling was only reinforced during the sales process. Jan is clear in his communication, easily accessible, and open to suggestions. My questions were answered with good justification. Knowledge of the subject matter, well-groomed, correct, and reliable are words that come to mind when I think back on our collaboration. We made clear agreements based on a step-by-step plan, which Jan followed meticulously. This is how Jan works together with a stylist and photographer to prepare the house for sale. This resulted in a fantastic photo reportage. I was very impressed, and that says a lot! The team at the office supporting the process also deserves a compliment: my phone calls were answered neatly and things were handled quickly and resolved here as well. 25 Jan 2025I have gone through a very special process of over 4 years with Jan Oosterhof. My parental home was initially to be sold while my mother was still alive. Unfortunately, her death intervened. Jan Oosterhof was one of the first to send condolences. For me, the sale of the parental home, which my parents themselves had built, was a difficult and emotional process. Jan guided me excellently in this. He always kept his finger on the pulse in a pleasant way and was always ready when needed. Texts in the evening or appointments on the weekend...no problem. The process ultimately resulted in a beautiful collaboration with a heritage official. Jan was open to everything and sensitively felt what my wishes were. Together we found a buyer to whom I could transfer my parental home with a good feeling. I am very grateful to Jan Oosterhof for this, and I can therefore recommend this real estate agent 100%, especially if the sale of a house is emotionally charged. He is a real estate agent with an empathetic ability but businesslike when necessary. And not forgetting, Snelders Zijlstra Hengelo has a very pleasant team, so I have always been helped kindly, nothing seemed too much. I thank Snelders Zijlstra Hengelo and especially Jan Oosterhof for this special process 🙏.

Date unknownAt Blik, they don't know how Funda works. With a lot of pain and effort, a text was written for the advertisements and brochure (they are also very bad at that). Several homes have been sold through them and each time things went wrong again. They then come with the incorrect photos and their own worthless text. Constantly having to call back, poorly accessible.

Date unknownDon't go into business with this real estate agency. Everything they say they will do (but don't) you can better do yourself. Agreements and commitments are not honored. And even when you verbally agree to cancel the assignment, they refuse to refund the paid amount (in this case €500,-). If you still want to look for a real estate agent? Choose one of the many others, because this one couldn't be worse. Update following hypocritical response from owner: Why don’t you mention that we contacted you and came to the office for a meeting after not having heard anything for half a year? And that we still didn’t hear anything from you afterwards? And that it was promised that refunding of the €500 was always possible, and now suddenly isn't? And why don’t you want to specify on what basis you believe you incurred these costs? And I haven't even mentioned that your 'unique system' (which every NVM real estate agent uses) doesn't work as promised, as demonstrated multiple times with examples.
