Due to many digital changes, I became somewhat nervous, which caused me to go to the wrong notary for my house (the sale). That is therefore my fault and my age, not Ester’s. Esther did her research well regarding buyers, but with regard to further 'guidance' in certain matters it could have been a little more. 06 Mar 2024Chriss did his best to accommodate us, even though we lived far away. We are satisfied with the house despite the complications. As much as possible, we are also generally satisfied. The only thing that surprised us a little and didn't please us was that he essentially referred us directly to the notary, who is next to their office. He didn't ask us if we wanted one or if we already had one ourselves, because we have the right to choose. Although everything went well and essentially helped us, the notary was quite expensive and cost us more than we expected. So that’s the only thing I would complain about. Apparently, we should have been more careful ourselves. :-)

04 Jan 2023Two very justified reprimands from the Stichting Tuchtrechtspraak of the NVM (Dutch Association of Real Estate Agents) addressed to Verheul Makelaardij. The supervisory board Amsterdam, the disciplinary committee, issued a reprimand to broker/director Hans Bos personally and a reprimand for Verheul Makelaardij as a company because multiple brokers were involved. This was due to the sale of a house to us with several concealed major defects that were already known to Verheul Makelaardij well before the sale of our house. The defects had even been reported in the crm system where every broker at the office has access. If director Hans Bos had admitted his significant mistakes promptly and sought a solution with us, for which he was amply given the opportunity, an official complaint to the NVM would not have been necessary. Instead, his large ego and arrogant attitude and lies take over, but as we expected: in vain. The evidence was very clear; there was no sincere or honest conduct by Mr. Hans Bos. On the contrary, he even acted against the code of honor of the NVM. The disciplinary committee was very clear and fair and declared all our complaints well-founded. Very wise of Mr. Hans Bos that he did not appeal against this official ruling. It would have been embarrassing enough for him. And he understood that very well. But.....no apology to us. How unprofessional. Now to the civil court for our compensation. Because as I promised Mr. Hans Bos: I believe in 'honesty is the best policy'. Monique Koelman-Stavleu

Thank goodness we didn't buy our house through you, it’s really a shame that we have you as the rental agent for the apartment above. We would greatly appreciate it if you could provide a substantive response to the emails of December 3, 9, 16 and 30. Should you suddenly find the ability to address us properly regarding our request to remove the rotten, falling apart and unsafe balcony from our roof so that we can finally fix our leak (which most likely originated from your neglected maintenance), we remain available. We have since reviewed the VvE administration and it turns out that the property is owned by Van de Giesen Makelaars B.V. - so not Robby van de Giesen personally. We understand very well that you do not want to be associated with the poor performance of another party, but since the website and general email address of Van de Giesen are the same for all branches, it seemed very logical to us to present our story to the branch located in the same municipality as the property in question. Your branch is therefore also the one we initially called and when asked if we were at the right address, this was confirmed. We have since carried out the work ourselves, but it would be nice if there was an inquiry into the status of the damage caused by the neglected maintenance. It is not our intention to publicly discuss this and we certainly want to remove the response as well, but we are still waiting for a substantive, reasonable and fair reaction.
