We had a rather specific search picture, but with the help of Pieter's sharp eye, the useful sparring sessions and the quick switching of his team, we found the house that suits us, exactly in our dream location. The sale was also taken care of by Pieter and his team. We received good tips on how to present our home as well as possible. With a sold property and a satisfied seller (us) as the end result. 29 May 2025Absolutely recommended! I have worked intensively with Pieter and his team for the past few weeks and it has been very positive. He knows what he's talking about, knows the entire city like the back of his hand and has contacts everywhere. He does everything to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible and that just works really well. What I found particularly pleasant was the feeling of having someone truly on your side and genuinely advocating for your interests. To be honest, I found the whole process quite exciting at times (choosing a house, bidding, arranging a mortgage) and when someone thinks along with you in a sober and structured way, that is priceless. The only thing I would do differently next time is to choose the mortgage advisor that Pieter works closely with. Then the lines are shorter and that's important because arranging a mortgage has to be done within a certain timeframe and you don’t want it to go wrong there. Pieter and Zahra, thank you for your help and until next time!

Alles werd duidelijk uitgelegd en zoveel mogelijk uit handen genomen. Martin kwam altijd zijn afspraken na, was goed bereikbaar voor vragen en maakte het hele traject heel soepel. Ook Quwendy heeft mij tijdens het proces goed geholpen. Dankzij hun inzet kijk ik met een goed gevoel terug op de verkoop en ben ik ontzettend blij met het resultaat. Ik vond het lastig om een makelaar te kiezen voor de verkoop van mijn appartement, maar ik ben erg blij met mijn keuze en zou zonder twijfel opnieuw voor Anderz Makelaar kiezen.

26 Oct 2025Uitzonderlijk, 6 uit 5. Martin en Quwendy zijn de beste professionals in hun vak: attent en loyaal aan hun klant, en proactief, snel en effectief in hun werk. Als koper zal Martin tot het uiterste voor u vechten en bereid zijn om de verkoper ervan te overtuigen dat u de juiste koper bent, zelfs als u op papier tegenover iemand staat die een beter bod heeft. Als verkoper vindt Martin ook het beste bod voor u, niet alleen op veilingen, maar – mochten de veilingresultaten tegenvallen – ook door klanten die hun eigen zoektocht al lang geleden hebben opgegeven, weer aan het werk te zetten. Al het aanvullende onderzoek – naar VvE's, elektriciteitsvoorzieningen, verzekeringen, contracten en aansprakelijkheden – wordt vlot en vakkundig uitgevoerd, zodat u zich nergens zorgen over hoeft te maken. Ook de inspectie van appartementen tijdens de aankoopfase verloopt zeer efficiënt, waarbij Martin in staat is om in te schatten hoeveel een vervanging of reparatie van een bepaald gebrek u later zal kosten. Dit alles gebeurt met de grootste toewijding aan de principes van het vak. Na verschillende makelaars in Groningen te hebben geprobeerd, twijfel ik er niet aan dat Martin dé persoon is om naartoe te gaan als je er zeker van wilt zijn dat je het maximale uit je aankoop of verkoop haalt. Die paar honderd euro extra aan courtage is het vele malen waard.

From the beginning, we felt in good hands, and that feeling only grew stronger throughout the process. As expats buying from abroad, we knew the market would be challenging. We had heard how competitive and fast everything can be, and how difficult it is to succeed if you don't fully understand the bidding system. Martin took all that complexity off our shoulders. He represented us with confidence and precision, and his calm, well-timed advice helped us navigate everything clearly. You really notice how much experience he has – and how important that is in this kind of market. One of the most reassuring aspects of the process was Martin's strong technical knowledge. Before a formal viewing, he carefully inspected each property himself, pointing out structural problems or hidden details that we would have completely overlooked. That helped us make decisions with much more confidence and save time and money. In addition to the technical side, we especially appreciated how personal and supportive the collaboration felt. 26 Apr 2025Een huis kopen met de hulp van Martin en Quwendy voelde als expat supergemakkelijk. Ze hielden ons goed op de hoogte van alle stappen van het proces, wat we konden verwachten, en ze waren altijd bereid om te helpen. Bij bezichtigingen maakte Martins eindeloze kennis een enorm verschil. Alles wat we vroegen, van structurele problemen, verbeteringen, renovaties tot kosten op korte en lange termijn, daar had hij een antwoord op. Maar natuurlijk had hij de problemen al opgemerkt en ons geïnformeerd dankzij zijn oog voor detail tegen de tijd dat we dergelijke vragen stelden. Wat we het meest waardeerden, was de manier waarop hij het bieden en onderhandelen aanpakte. Hij gaf puur objectieve meningen. Hij drong nooit aan op een aankoop en stelde deze ook niet voor, puur om snel winst te maken. Hij stak 's avonds extra uren in onderzoek en onderhandelingen. En dat heeft ons geholpen ons droomhuis te kopen, een huis waar we helemaal weg van zijn. Al met al raden we Martin en Quwendy van harte aan bij de aankoop van je eerste huis/appartement. Je zult je altijd zeker voelen tijdens het proces en vooral bij het doen van een bod. Je vindt je droomhuis voor een eerlijke prijs, zonder verborgen onderhoudskosten.

For example, I ask 3 questions via Move or app, and it takes a long time to get an answer, and then only for 1 out of the 3 questions. Tip: Assign one employee responsible for ensuring customer questions are answered. They were all nice, friendly people though. If they do that better, I will definitely recommend them.

11 Jul 2025Be extremely cautious when considering renting from Van der Meulen Makelaars. My two-year lease ended with an unjustified deduction of more than € 550 from my deposit, combined with misleading claims and unnecessary stress. Just a few days before moving out, their employee, Aron, conducted a pre-inspection. He clearly stated: 'It looks like no one has ever lived here - it's perfect. Exactly as it should be.' This statement gave me confidence, as we had thoroughly cleaned and maintained the apartment. Apart from a minor omission – some crumbs in the oven from cooking the night before – the apartment was clean, undamaged, and exactly as I received it. I even recorded a complete video inspection to document its condition. After my move, I expected to receive my deposit quickly. Instead, they remained silent for a week. Only after I inquired did they respond and suddenly accused me of leaving the apartment 'extremely dirty,' claimed that there were several, unspecified items missing, and that chairs were 'broken.' Initially, they specifically accused me of missing items, including the TV cabinet and the kettle. When I promptly provided video evidence clearly showing these items standing above and on the table respectively, their only response was: 'Oh, we must have overlooked them,' after which they did not respond at all. It remains baffling and suspicious how meticulously they inspected and documented minor issues, such as dust behind heavy furniture, yet managed to overlook obviously visible large items. Despite this clear video evidence, they still retained € 250 from my deposit under the vague category 'missing items.' In reality, the chairs were not broken at all. They showed only normal wear and tear: after two years of daily use, the leatherette began to peel. I had already paid monthly costs (€ 100-150 per month) that explicitly covered normal wear and tear. However, in their final settlement, they did not even specifically mention the chairs but charged me € 250 under the vague and inexplicable category 'missing items.' Initially, they refused to specify what exactly was missing. Furthermore, they charged me € 306.32 for cleaning costs, hired 25 days after my move, including the parking costs of the cleaning company – costs that clearly should not be the tenant's responsibility – further emphasizing the unreasonable and unfair nature of their charges. When I promptly offered to return and arrange the necessary cleaning, specifically the small problem with the oven, they refused because it was 'too late.' Even worse, I was explicitly informed that my lease could not be extended because the landlord had indicated that the apartment was for sale. Relying on their word, I promptly moved with my two young children, encountered significant problems finding a new home and eventually ended up in temporary accommodation. Although I am currently not certain whether the apartment was actually sold, this situation has caused considerable problems and raised concerns about their true intentions. This experience has made me feel exploited and misled. It appears to follow a pattern: They reassure tenants verbally upon check-out. Then they remain silent regarding the return of the deposit. Weeks later, they suddenly report cleaning issues, missing items or damage. They refuse offers from tenants to fix minor problems themselves. Ultimately, they retain large amounts from the deposit with exaggerated claims. I will take legal action to recover my deposit and prevent others from experiencing similar problems. I have given Van der Meulen Makelaars and the landlord time to respond and explain why the deductions were unjustified, but they ignored me. Because they refused to resolve it, I am going to court next working day. I am sharing this review to help future tenants avoid the same stress and injustice.

It is unfortunate that we were unable to reach an agreement. Nevertheless, we remain open to further discussion.
