07 Jan 2026The appraiser ultimately compared the property with other properties and came up with an appraisal slightly lower than the purchase value. My mortgage advisor said that unfortunately they often encounter this type of appraiser, and that normally the purchase value becomes the appraisal value. All in all, the communication at the beginning was confusing and I didn't have a good feeling about it.

The preparation of the certified appraisal report also proceeded very quickly. Within a little more than one day after the inspection, we already had it in our email. Conclusion: we can only recommend De Jonge Real Estate and Appraisals.

07 Dec 2025No problems but also no real contact. The real estate agent and appraiser sort everything out together. All I had to do was give permission and pay. Maybe this is the new normal. I also found the appraisal low compared to neighbors who sold for 50,000 euros above the appraised value after renovations. We don't need any more but 2 under one roof after 50,000 renovations 390,000 value there I doubt it.

You make an appointment take time off from work plan it in for a viewing to rent a building and then you get a phone call that they have rented it out to someone else twice !! 01 Oct 2025After making one phone appointment on the condition that it would be an honest and sincere energy label, I proceeded with Vergoossens real estate. This good man, Jack Vergoossens, was punctual, friendly, and seemed competent. He was pleased to see that I had taken photos of the entire renovation from A to Z, documenting all insulation in the walls and floor regarding thicknesses and materials, floor heating, heat pump, and heat pump boiler. Apparently, it often happens that people make their homes energy-efficient but have no provable evidence of this, and then the person responsible for the energy label cannot do anything about bringing the house to a higher level. After measuring the entire house and noting everything down, two hours later I asked Jack Vergoossens if the renovation had borne fruit? The answer was that it would certainly be an A rating, maybe even with a +, but he wouldn't know for sure until all calculations were done. Five days later we received the results of the energy label, and to our disbelief, a house from 1947 went from an F to an A+++ energy label. We never expected this from ourselves. The house was quickly and neatly on the market, which we found very pleasant. The communication went well and we could address our questions properly. However, there were a few beauty flaws in the process: for example, we initially received an incorrect floor plan with wrong dimensions just before the house was to go online, and at the last moment our both names were not entirely written correctly. That was a bit sloppy and caused a less pleasant feeling. Despite that, we are happy with the end result and the smooth sale of our home. With a bit more attention to detail, the service would have been even better.
