Joost is unfriendly, unprofessional and not at all helpful. From the first conversation I had the feeling that he had no interest in my situation. He responded brusquely, gave no clear information and seemed to hurry to get rid of the conversation. When my offer was not accepted, there wasn't even a decent explanation — instead he laughed and looked down on me. Such an attitude you absolutely do not expect from a real estate agent. If you're looking for someone who takes you seriously and treats you professionally, I would strongly advise against Makelaarsplein, especially Joost. Also, I see below in various reviews that people in similar situations are completely denied. This company really knows no shame!

My experience with Joost from Makelaarsplein was unfortunately anything but positive. Communication was difficult: appointments were not kept or rescheduled at the last minute, without clear explanation. This gave little confidence in the process. In addition, I missed a proactive attitude. During viewings, hardly any information was given about the property or its condition, and questions often remained unanswered or were dismissed with “you can figure that out yourself”. As a customer, you expect guidance and expertise in such an important process – which I did not experience here. Ultimately, it felt as if my interests as a buyer were barely taken seriously. I would therefore not recommend this real estate agent to others looking for an involved and expert party.

My experience with Joost from Makelaarsplein was frankly shocking. Where you expect professionalism, empathy and respect from a real estate agent, he showed exactly the opposite. Instead of properly addressing people who didn't get the house, he chose to laugh at them and mock them. This is not only unprofessional, but also downright disrespectful. Buying or renting a home is already an exciting and stressful process for many, and you expect a real estate agent to treat you with decency. Unfortunately, that was absolutely not the case here. I would advise everyone against doing business with Joost; there are plenty of other real estate agents who are honest and customer-focused.

After having to outbid on many houses, we finally got lucky and made the highest bid. From the viewing to the handover of the keys, Joost has always provided us with the right information. After the financing was settled, we were often able to view our future home to measure in and on. We could always call Joost (also during the evenings) if we had questions. We are super happy. Bad experience. Registered through the website for a property valuation. No response. Called myself; 'Sir, I will send you an email to get things going'. No email received. The assignment goes to a competitor.

The report is fine, but the communication left much to be desired. Due to a malfunction, the report could not be delivered within 7 days, which can happen, but communicate that to your client. I had to constantly take the initiative for contact. Furthermore, appointments were always made that weren't kept and I had to chase them up myself. In short, it took more than 7 days but a month and a half before we received the appraisal report. No apology or compensation afterwards either. A shame.

They had 1 task: to appraise a house for an nhg validation. This was a clear question. He appraised the house 5000 euros higher. This joke costs me a lot of hassle. And naturally, much more money. He thought he was doing a good thing was his answer. Thanks for nothing. He was very friendly. But I am dissatisfied. To prevent other people from experiencing this. As an appraiser, they offer competitive prices but with makelaarsplein you go from bad to worse. Marko doesn't keep appointments and sends reminders for neatly paid invoices. Not even mentioning the quality of the appraisal report. I found this company downright bad. Not recommended in my opinion.

Bad experiences with this company, the entire sales process did not proceed fairly/professionally. Incorrect information was provided which made the procedure unnecessarily complicated.

I wanted to buy a house. The agents from Makelaarsplein are offering a property for their client. I feel that they reacted very arrogantly and waived giving a bid (significantly above the asking price) to her client. Response deadlines were, in my opinion, deliberately not adhered to. This is frustrating for the buyer, however, I am of the opinion that their approach is also not in the best interest of her client(s). Out of pure frustration with their working method, I withdrew my bid and continued my house hunt. When Makelaatsplein offers a house, I will ignore it! ADDITION following their response. They are writing untruths. No, I did NOT call to make an appointment. Didn't need to, nor did I want to. I called about a bid. This bid had to be submitted by email. So I submitted a bid by email and indicated that I would like a response by the end of the day. This is not the procedure this broker had in mind. They decide not to respond within the stipulated timeframe. That is already a statement in itself. Subsequently, they called after the deadline had passed and stated that they had NOT forwarded the bid to the seller. Now comes the contradiction, since they state in their response that they do not schedule viewings, they now want to schedule a viewing! I thank them for that! Because I don't want my bid to work to further drive up the price for other buyers. My bid was actually already expired when this broker did NOT respond to the bid. What is going on here is clear. They have a strategy in mind that they do not want to deviate from. 'We've been around for 25 years'...so they can afford this arrogance. This is, of course, my thoughts and opinion. As a buyer, I expect that if bids are made well above the asking price, this will be taken seriously and the client will be directly informed and asked for her opinion. They refused to do so. It is objectionable when such a bid is not passed on to the seller. Not good for this seller and also not for other or future sellers I think. I reject this approach and will no longer contact this broker. I feel like I have been treated improperly.
