In 2025 is onze woning verkocht door makelaarshuys Johanna en Gijs. We hebben gekozen voor hen nadat we een zeer positieve ervaring hebben gehad met een eerdere bezichtiging van een ander huis. De makelaar was open en oprecht. Gijs had alle tijd en geduld voor onze vragen (we hadden er veel) tijdens en na de bezichtiging. Altijd terugbellen en een eerlijk verhaal maakte dat we de keuze hebben gemaakt om ons huis te laten verkopen door Johanna en Gijs. Ook in het verkoopproces hebben we het werken met hen als zeer prettig ervaren door de persoonlijke en professionele aanpak. Johanna was deze keer ons eerste aanspreekpunt. Unfortunately not to be recommended... when scheduling a viewing for a house by phone, we were told that we would be called back later. After days of waiting, nothing was heard from them and when we called back to ask why we hadn't heard anything, they said that the viewing time had already passed and that we had to wait for a next opportunity and therefore could not make an offer. We didn't even get to see the house, we weren't allowed to do anything, not look, not bid... they make you wait and put you out of the game without you being able to do anything. Rather a real estate agent who DOES treat their clients normally and gives everyone fair chances!! * response to 'owner', we did call back because you didn't call... Maybe it's an idea that something is done about this within the organization... Because it's extremely bad, especially when you then call back after days and get a grumpy and condescending woman on the phone.

From the first meeting in the house for sale, it felt good with Gijs, as if we already knew each other, he had a lot of knowledge about the local market and knew fairly precisely what we would eventually get for the house 3 months later, he also gave some handy tips, the communication afterwards went very smoothly and effortlessly. Yesterday I viewed the property at Curved Slagters Street 7, where it was previously indicated and promised that there would be two viewing days, and if desired you could come back to view it again the following week. The appointment was made so that after the second viewing day one might submit an offer with a deadline, which is something that often happens and conforms to the agreement. Now comes the twist. I am called today with the story: We have a great offer for you. You must bid by 1600 today because there is already an offer. Firstly, this is unprofessional as a real estate agency does not keep its agreements. Secondly, it shows that as agents you do not stand your ground towards the seller (assuming for a moment that it is not collusive). Thirdly, it is absolutely immoral considering the current housing market. The market is already overheated and bidding wars are somewhat normalized, but doing it this way just heats things up even more! Good luck with business practices like these. You will not win in the long term with such tactics, especially not against established names like Best Real Estate House!

To be clear, we had indeed communicated beforehand regarding the property at Kromme Slagen 7 that there would be two viewing moments and that after the second viewing day, an offer round would follow. This was also communicated to all interested parties. What's important to note is that a seller always has the freedom to accept an earlier offer. If in the meantime a proposal comes in that appeals to the seller, we are obligated to report this and pass it on to other interested parties. This is not about breaking agreements; rather, it is part of our role as agents: carefully representing the interests of the seller while being transparent with all candidates. We understand that this can be disappointing for viewers on one hand, especially in today's housing market. However, you could also view this positively because the initial viewers (including yourself) were the only ones allowed to make an offer, which means you have a better chance. Nevertheless, this is a process where we adhere to the rules and communicate openly about the situation. Our goal is always to keep the journey as clear and honest as possible. We sold our house in Breda in 2025 through Makelaarshuys Johanna and Gijs. Overall, we are satisfied with the sale. Johanna comes across as professional, has knowledge of the market, and a vision for the sale. We are happy with the result. The ladies of the “internal team” are very friendly and were always ready to help us. There is always someone to answer the phone. When it turned out that there was some uncertainty about the cadastral data and the notary handling the transfer didn't know what to do with it, the internal team sorted this out and resolved it with their own notary. Not everything went flawlessly. For example, the photos were not good the first time, which meant another photographer had to come for attempt two (so, again house empty and clean, not ideal with two small children). Also, the sales text was really substandard, so we completely rewrote it in our own time. Finally, there was an error in the preliminary purchase agreement that only came to light after the cancellation period had expired. A few points of attention therefore, but we nevertheless look back on the sale with satisfaction!
