A, to put it mildly, suboptimal performance in the sale of our house from October 2022. Presentation on Funda below par, with errors and omissions: for example, the main photo did not show that it was a corner house, and no photos showed the water to which the property (also according to the description) is located. The asking price was set too low, under the assumption that prices would continue to fall much further - something you don't want to hear from an estate agent and ultimately didn't happen. The estate agent did not clearly understand why viewers were dropping out. He was poorly accessible and did not proactively keep us informed of progress/developments. No clear strategy, primarily a waiting attitude. When we emphatically requested a different approach after several months of deadlock, the response was so meager that we terminated the collaboration. To our surprise, he didn't want to know why, and made no effort to retain us as clients. He wanted to charge us withdrawal costs afterwards. When we requested a meeting about this, he refused with the statement that he had done so much work on it anyway. A strong example of willingness to reflect and customer focus - not. We went into business with another estate agent from the village, who did everything perfectly and quickly had several good offers on the table. Of course, we could no longer increase the asking price, but the winning bid was luckily above that. It ended well, but Sijmons-Dolata cost us a lot of time, money and sleepless nights.
