19 Aug 2025Poor communication, not fair and/or transparent. In the past, a property was placed with them for sale. It was stated that there was almost no response. And then we hear from people later that they wanted to make an appointment twice but apparently had other priorities at the office and didn't feel like actually scheduling it. If you only want to take on the pleasant jobs, that’s fine, but don’t accept the assignment! Besides that: the entire experience during the sale was simply bad. 2 Months later we hired another real estate agent who did take it seriously. After which the house was sold in 3 weeks.

Hermans Makelaars in a few keywords: customer-focused, professional, good advice, a reminder when needed, attentive and empathetic. Hermans Makelaars takes an extra step when necessary and relieves stress during a hectic time when you have many balls in the air. There is clarity about the steps that will be taken and where you are at each moment. This also provides clarity as to what you still need to do yourself. If you forget something in the rush, you will receive a friendly reminder from their side to submit something. A pleasant advantage is that they also have a Hypotheekshop (Mortgage Shop) in their portfolio. This was ideal for us to have both the sale and the financial settlement of a purchase via one point of contact.

16 Oct 2024Fast response after wanting to view a property. After telephone contact regarding questions about our own home, the conversation was abruptly ended in a childish and rude manner. Especially after we let them know that the sale of our house would be handled by someone else. Then the advice to first sell our house before buying another. Worst advice I've ever heard. Our house is completely finished and very desirable these days. Was not planning on ending up on the street with 3 children. But the condition of selling our own property was apparently unacceptable. Sorry but unpleasant conversation.

Date unknownI don't recognize at all what some people are writing negatively here. We have interest in a property, called yesterday and they immediately picked up the phone. Later in the afternoon we were immediately called back and we are now waiting for an appointment to view. So far everything is going well and as it should. I always say: You don't get a 2nd chance for a 1st impression and that was simply good with this office. Everyone is allowed to give their opinion and everyone will personally experience what they think of a company and want to share their experiences based on that. I do that myself too, because this week we also had a bad experience with a real estate agent from South Limburg and I wrote about that in another review. What I find very strange here on this site is that someone suddenly decides years later to share their negative experience on this site, while you normally would do that within a short time after the experience. Why would you suddenly start sharing your bad experience on this site years later???? I find it all very strange, but doesn't mean we are simply very satisfied. But well, everyone their own opinion.

09 Oct 2019Well, here exactly the same experience, unfortunately. Nothing of your high customer satisfaction score to be noticed! When Ingrid arrived at the house (10 minutes late) the positive atmosphere that was there completely turned around. Never encountered such a distant cold person, we were looked at with a disapproving look as if Mrs. had never seen a person with a tattoo before. In 5 minutes quickly through the house, no explanation anywhere. Then we got the form pushed under our noses which we could fill in if interested, Mrs. asked about our incomes... I was really stunned. Prior to the viewing, email contact was had with Ingrid about the house, she could respond to my emails within the hour 3 times but when I asked what the rental requirements were, she never responded to my emails again! The viewing was more than a week later!!!!! So, we tell our incomes again, causing her to laugh and very nonchalantly indicate that at least by one person 3x the monthly rent amount must be earned. I don’t know what you think I have for a job but no, I do not earn 3,000 per month. When I ask why she didn't respond to my email where I asked what the requirements were, she laughs it off and starts talking about something else! Then we wouldn’t have had to take time off work! Whole afternoon for nothing. Then she also still made the great comment that we should go rent a cheap house and apply for rental allowance. I have never felt so offended, what a treacherous trick to simply let us come anyway! Ugh, left with such a strange feeling from the house, had stomach ache from it all day. Purely because of the disastrous experience with this real estate agent, I won’t even try to make another chance for the house! What a nasty person!

Our choice for a sales broker was made based on the feeling we got from Eugene, his enthusiasm and genuinely knowing what is going on in the property he walks around. From valuation to sale, there has been open and honest communication and a good feeling towards Eugene. I personally like to retain some control and this was taken into account in a very neat way. No question was too much and it was easy to make contact. The guidance in the - quite exciting and new - process was superb, nothing but praise. We would definitely recommend Eugene as an agent, because we were helped fantastically and are extremely satisfied.
