It was delivered according to a high professional standard: each section was carefully written and the information was clearly, logically and detailed presented. The inspector even checked the locks on the interior doors, checked the moisture in the walls and brought things to our attention that we might not even think of.

25 Sep 2025Recently we viewed a house that this real estate agent had for sale in Winschoten. In the photos it could be seen that there had been leakage from the upper floor. However, nothing was mentioned about this in the text except that the bathroom needed renovation or a different use. Upon viewing, it turned out that the bathroom had leakage and could no longer be used. We were greeted by a friendly young man who showed us around. However, for almost every question we asked, such as; why do these people want to move? We got the answer: I don't know. And that answer was given for almost every question. You couldn't get any information. During our viewing, Mr Hittjo was sitting at the dining table on a chair on his mobile phone. He barely looked up from it. He did not introduce himself or anything and continued with his mobile phone. Outside, it was noticed that the exterior stones of the bay windows were different and it looked as if the bay windows had been added later. So we asked the young man that question and got the answer: I don't know. We then asked Mr Hittjo the same question, but he answered: they found it beautiful for sure. And Mr Hittjo shrugged his shoulders. We could live with that answer. Also, considering the poor condition of the house, we found the asking price really too high. All in all, a pity.

Well. Fortunately, most people are actually always positive about our viewings (also because we always take enough time for them) but they usually don't leave a review.... As for the bathroom: there was indeed in the text that this must be renovated (and not modernized), from which you could deduce that it is no longer usable. Unfortunately, this was a disappointment for you. Hittjo was busy typing an inspection report on his mobile phone. And for some questions we really don't know the answer, e.g., whether a bay window was added later. For a house with construction year 1932, the owner himself can only make statements about the time he has lived there himself. Perhaps next time better.

Date unknownI want to report about Bosstraat 15 in Winschoten. I had a viewing at Bosstraat 15 in Winschoten and the realtor was late, and the viewing only showed half of the property to the seller. Also, regarding suspected asbestos in the attic, the realtor wants me to pay for an inspection to check if there is suspected asbestos and also to remove it. I think this is a really very bad situation. I have never experienced this as a buyer; this must be handled. For me, above the attic, suspected asbestos is n.v.t for this house and the realtor. For me, this realtor doesn't even deserve 1 star.

Date unknownInitially good contact, but we still look back on a unpleasant experience. When purchasing Hoofdweg 126 A in Schildwolde, we explicitly asked Mr. Blik if there were any hidden defects and/or other shortcomings about which he had to tell us, but according to him the house was completely renovated and in perfect condition. After the structural survey, it appeared that another € 40,000 needed to be renovated. A leaking roof, an exterior wall that had to be completely replaced, multiple leaking frames, a hole in the ceiling/roof of the bathroom (you could see the air) and generally the house was in very poor condition with poor workmanship. Due to the structural survey, the purchase naturally did not go ahead, but I had expected more transparency from Mr. Blik. He certainly knew about some of these shortcomings or should have better informed himself by the selling party. The structural advisor was also disappointed because this kind of ‘botched work’ was often observed in houses belonging to the selling party (the well-known real estate trader from Slochteren). I am curious whether the next interested parties for Hoofdweg 126 A will be fully informed about the condition of the house.

10 Mar 2025Last week I submitted a request to view a house. Unfortunately, the viewings were full and they do expect to sell as well. This week the property was still listed as available and there was no text updated indicating that there was no possibility of viewing. Subsequently called to state that I still have very much interest and would like to buy the property, even if unseen. I am personally accustomed to the suffering that is called the housing market in the Randstad region, so overbidding by half the asking price didn't seem entirely strange to me. Is that not allowed?!?! Apparently, with this agency you are obliged to first visit and have them look before a bid can be made. This seems like favoritism to first see what kind of meat they have in the pot and whether you are fun enough to sell to. What a farce and very unprofessional from the real estate agent.. you would expect them to sell a house to the highest bidder and not close the front door to a bid beforehand.

Nor is it mentioned in the description on funda. Called the real estate agent and asked for an explanation. Was told that we’ll tell you about this during the viewing. Sorry, but these are things that should be mentioned beforehand. And then say on the phone, 'we earn nothing from you.' Honesty is a virtue.

To the question of whether the realtor had informed the new residents, a resounding 'yes' was given with enthusiasm. It turns out that this was not the case afterwards. Conclusion: knowingly and unlawfully selling a house with hidden defects which proved to contain even more defects. Never buy anything through them. Money is more important than the person who is now saddled with the misery.
