I've always maintained that you have to come from a good house to surpass such an expert man. Someone you don’t just find easily. But yes indeed.....he has been found, and it is Hittjo de Wal of Woonstee Makelaars! On the website he is described as a down-to-earth Groninger with a realistic view of things, and I can only agree. Last Friday, August 30, 2024, I had an appointment with him for a technical inspection in connection with the purchase of a property. It can be stated without further ado that Hittjo is structurally very knowledgeable and misses nothing. At least....that’s my conclusion, and after completing the very thorough inspection, I was convinced that almost every square centimeter of the house has been examined. Hittjo is a super enthusiastic man who takes his work very seriously and clearly sees his work as a hobby too. And all this with a good dose of humor. From me he gets a big feather and wishes everyone who needs a technical 'expert'. Once again, thank you very much for your expertise Hittjo! I know how to find you if that should be necessary again. 24 Jul 2024Hello, We have made an offer on a house in Midwolda and the offer was accepted by the sellers and we started everything in motion and Mr. Hittjo de Wal simply calls after a week and says that the house will not go through and has been sold to the other buyers because they have cash money. We think this is very sad from the company Woonstee, that we are being put at costs. And if you read the reviews well, then they do that and I am not the only one. Friendly angry realtor. Be careful. Well, it's quite something to get a bad review because you adhere to the law and also to your duty to protect the interests of your client (the seller). We naturally understand that Rob and Annet are very disappointed, but things are somewhat different than they say. After a verbal agreement was reached, we clearly pointed out to them via email that as long as there is no signed purchase agreement, both parties are free to withdraw from the sale. A verbal agreement is simply not valid. And if a better buyer appears in the meantime, it is our DUTY to inform the seller of this, and the seller is FREE to enter into an agreement with this other buyer. Furthermore, the house was NOT just sold to someone else (and there’s absolutely no question of cash), because we still offered them the opportunity to adjust their bid. The fact that Rob and Annet have incurred costs is their own choice. We did not advise them to start the mortgage application or put their house on the market prematurely. And an appointment for a building inspection had not yet been made. Perhaps it would have been better if they had been assisted by a buyer's agent, who could then have explained the rules to them as well.

Nor is it mentioned in the description on funda. Called the real estate agent and asked for an explanation. Was told that we’ll tell you about this during the viewing. Sorry, but these are things that should be mentioned beforehand. And then say on the phone, 'we earn nothing from you.' Honesty is a virtue.

18 May 2024On December 4, 2023, a call regarding Japanese Knotweed from a property they had for sale. To the question of whether the realtor had informed the new residents, a resounding 'yes' was given with enthusiasm. It turns out that this was not the case afterwards. Conclusion: knowingly and unlawfully selling a house with hidden defects which proved to contain even more defects. Never buy anything through them. Money is more important than the person who is now saddled with the misery.

Reason being they are very busy. A phone call of 1 minute with apologies for the busyness and later callback is too much to ask. My house certainly won't be put in their window display.
