Date unknownI would advise everyone to be cautious with this real estate agent. The agent is only focused on one thing, which is his own portfolio. I had actually reached an agreement for a certain purchase price after viewing in Noordwijk by email. Subsequently, I sent all the documents to the bank and the documentation to this agent for the purchase agreement as he asked me. Until two weeks later, on a Friday at 12:15, I had sent my last documents and then received an email at 4:15 PM the same day stating: 'Sorry, but there is a higher bidder, so we are going with that party.' Incidentally, the agent has every right to do this since the purchase agreement was not yet finalized. However, it is very, very inhumane to dismiss me with a simple email. The agent should have contacted me (since we already had an agreement for a certain amount) to discuss the situation. Then I would still have had a chance to increase my offer. When I called Mr., or rather finally got through to him, after a heated discussion and a lot of explanation from my side regarding the aforementioned situation, he was indeed in agreement that he should have called me but left it at that. Mr. did not really make any effort to improve his actions towards me. A few days later, I had someone else call to see if the house was still available and received as a response: 'Yes, of course, but there are already offers.' Or while I could have gone higher with my offer in this way (if I wanted to), so that another set of people could be put aside after my opinion in an inconsiderate manner. Ultimately, I did not choose this option because I also find it unfair to others. In short, be careful with this agent because he does not care about humanity but only about his wallet. Best people, we all make mistakes, but making deliberate mistakes at the expense of families like mine is very wrong. I would advise the agent to reflect on this and hopefully learn something for the future! In addition to the agent's response below: Mr. Damen, you know just as well as I do that it did not go as you have sketched it out, but that you even lacked the respect to personally contact me after we had an agreement but instead dismissed me with a simple email. But well, it's your company.

First assigns you the house, and when everything is almost settled, the agent sends an impersonal message saying that there's a higher bid and that he will proceed with that without you being able to make a counteroffer. The agent really doesn't do his best for you. Conclusion: don't get into business with this real estate agent because if you think you've bought a house, you'll be without it again in no time.

15 Apr 2025A terrible experience (at least for now), all the 'good' houses are booked 'immediately'. That only happens with them, it doesn't matter if you try to call, as soon as you have literally just seen the house, it's already fully booked within 'minutes'. Which is obviously a blatant lie. I understand that the market in the Netherlands is complex, but as I said before, this only happens with this company. I have already booked different houses with other companies, but with DAMEN it's literally impossible. At least for the good houses. Moreover, they don't answer the phone and don't respond to emails. A few months ago, before I even considered buying a house, I thought about renting. I contacted DAMEN and they sent me an email with the required information and documents. I replied, but to this day I still haven't received an answer. Last week I tried to book a viewing for a house that was already booked when I refreshed the app. That was on Friday. On Monday morning, I received an email notifying me that the house was fully booked. Which is literally impossible. I'm considering filing a complaint with the authorities.

And...if there's a leak on a Saturday evening or something breaks on a Sunday afternoon, you get a call about it and it’s resolved correctly and in a cost-effective way. That service, that directness in solving problems, I find fantastic. I wouldn't want it any other way; meanwhile, we've been doing this for several years now, and I am only happier. Every problem is solved to everyone’s satisfaction, the tenant is satisfied and pays on the 1st of the month without fail, and Drenth solves all problems with the right professionals engaged at a fair price. In short, if you want to rent out a house or apartment, you are at the best address with them.

We already found something in Nieuw-Vennep, but the private landlord was a swindler. So 15 days before the end of my contract we still had nothing, we almost thought about going back to our old country. Very professional, explains everything in detail from signing the contract beforehand to receiving the apartment keys. The apartment was delivered neatly. Even extra service regarding the energy supplier is possible so you don't have to figure all of that out yourself. I haven't been helped so quickly well and professionally by any other good company!
