Also, the agent did not have prices for comparable homes ready. The advice was always to bid significantly above the asking price. So little added value.

Date unknownI too was not taken seriously here as a new person in the housing market. This was already happening before the housing market became overheated, the house sales were just starting then (already 4 years ago at the time of writing this review). Initially, I still thought that this was normal because I was new to the housing market as a starter. When looking around on Google Maps, I saw the recent bad reviews and now see that apparently little has changed over time. That is why I am now happy to share my experience. During the first viewing, I was alone as a starter, and not taken seriously at all. Almost no information was provided about the property. Questions asked could not be answered or were incorrectly answered afterwards. The brochure of the property was not available. There was clearly no preparation, or they did not intend to make an effort for it. Ultimately, I was shown around by an intern while Mr. Tebbens Torringa himself stayed downstairs almost the entire viewing at a table. During the second viewing (with parents and partner), there was unfortunately little improvement, and they too felt that the attitude was not entirely professional or interested, and that we were still not taken seriously. We also did not receive a brochure of the property with us here. Ultimately, during the negotiations for the purchase of the property, several different written things were misinterpreted and incorrectly communicated to the selling party on multiple occasions. This ultimately caused some delay in the negotiation period. It wasn't the delay, but the irritation it provoked that was annoying. Fortunately, the further handling went reasonably well and we no longer had to deal with Tebbens Torringa Makelaardij. Should we ever sell our lovely home, we now know where not to go, and that is with the aforementioned company. p.s. one of the two 5-star reviews that the company has is from one of its own employees. Fraud and deception may even apply here. Considerable messing around with point scoring and other documents. Naturally, no one wants to hear complaints here. An official complaint has now been lodged with the NVM regarding their actions; I turned out not to be the only one. However, you remain a victimized tenant or buyer. So for anyone reading this, be warned. A warned person counts for two.

05 Oct 2025It is certainly a nice real estate agent if you want to sell your own house, but don't get into bed with them if you care about your fellow human beings (buyers). In our case, the terms were suddenly changed unilaterally, two weeks after a verbal agreement. This caused us a lot of headaches and extra costs. All this under the guidance of no understanding whatsoever and terrible communication, including not returning calls (after promising to return them). This caused us to be on the verge of withdrawing as a buyer, after we had already been hanging on the line for three weeks as 'buyers'. Also as a seller, it's nice not to be caught off guard. I doubt this real estate agent can guarantee that. I would certainly never sell my house with this real estate agent. Remarkably enough, the property is still listed as 'Sold subject to conditions' on Funda, 9 months after handover...
