Less than an hour later, Joek was sitting at our kitchen table passionately talking about his approach. He came across as no ordinary agent; he was down-to-earth, sincere, and someone who knows how to get things done. He immediately provided styling and renovation tips that would benefit the sale of our house. After meeting with Joek (who also recommended us see two other agents), we couldn't stop thinking about his approach, vision, and manner. This led us to choose him as our agent. From the moment we started working together, he brought furniture, plants, garden equipment, and carpet from his own store into our house. He even rearranged the rooms and helped with cleaning and decluttering so that everything looked perfect for the photos, which he took himself and had professionally edited. Throughout the entire process, Joek supported us with a smile and a tear in his eye, fostering a wonderful collaboration and friendship. All expectations were more than met, and looking back on it, we can say it was an exceptionally beautiful sales process. Joek is a hard worker who perfectly gauges when to push forward or slow down, handles feedback well, has a heart in the right place, and does everything in consultation to reach the best possible outcome. We would highly recommend Joek!!

He actively listened to my wishes and made sure he screened all apartments before viewing them, which saved us time and energy. He regularly came up with possibilities before I had seen them online. During viewings, he ensured that he focused on all the small but important technical details so that I could focus on my overall opinion of the apartments. He didn't rush and even postponed the process several times due to details I had overlooked. Ultimately, we found the perfect apartment for me in less than two months. And thanks to his market knowledge and negotiation skills, I got a great apartment at a great price without having to pay transfer tax. Finally, Barry checked all the documents to make sure everything was in order, which was enormously important to me since I don't yet speak Dutch. All in all, I am very happy with Barry and I can wholeheartedly recommend him.

Unfortunately, I cannot respond to the reaction of the owner below and wanted to leave it at the bad review, but the response below asks for some clarification, so here’s what happened: - Tel Krop sold a house via bidding - We had the winning bid - Written confirmation from Monique Krop. List of movable assets shared. Notary confirmed. - The notary prepared the documents for the transfer - The party that had offered less in the bidding process still wanted to offer more, while we already had confirmation of the purchase and the documents were with the notary. We were offered a compensation if we would withdraw, because we were formally the buyers. - Ultimately went with the other buyer anyway, without compensating us. Not only ethically very questionable, but also illegal. I think it speaks for itself that you should stay as far away from Monique Krop as possible.

We act on behalf of our clients (in this case the sellers) and always strive for the maximum result. 01 Nov 2023We were scammed by this real estate agency. We rented an apartment for 2700 (Lindengracht 332), which they touted as recently renovated and beautiful. In reality, this apartment was filthy and disgusting. The walls had black mold everywhere, the furniture was broken, every corner of the apartment was dirty, worn out, and disgusting. After being confronted with the problems, they started lying and blaming my relatives for 'not following the standard procedure', which was completely untrue. Ultimately, we had to hire a lawyer, but we did get our deposit back, but we were still ripped off by an extra €1350 by the greedy landlord who refused to take responsibility for his disgusting apartment.

15 Jul 2025Last spring I sold my apartment of approximately 60 m² in the Jordaan with Kelly. It was the first time I have sold a property in the Netherlands or another country and Kelly supported me enormously with all the different questions I had and took all our worries out of our hands. When we doubted, we relied on their expertise and ultimately everything went very smoothly and according to plan – I believe it took about 5 weeks before everything was finalized. They did many viewings (approximately 35, I think) and kept us informed of all developments. Should we, our colleagues, find ourselves in a similar situation again, we certainly recommend Vos & Kleian. They had everything under control and exuded a very high level of mediation.

Others kept saying that my market offer was too competitive and that they could no longer accept clients, or they tried to convince me to increase my budget. Boudy said nothing of the sort, and he is the one who helped me buy and move into a beautiful studio in Amsterdam in just over two months. He gave me great price advice and arranged all the procedures necessary for the deal. He also helped me with negotiations with the seller when problems arose.
