Terrible, you make an appointment for a viewing. They cancel 24 hours in advance. The house is already sold!! Not even a chance to place a bid or have a viewing. Apparently the real estate agents are making money too easily. Deeply sad.

Years ago, I bought a house through Hoekstra and van Eck. A very bad experience. Pay close attention if you buy a house with them. Many things they tell you turn out not to be true. I asked if it was a wooden floor or concrete. The real estate agent indicated concrete. I looked in the crawl space and clearly saw wood. And when you point it out to them, they hang up the phone or don't respond to more emails. 1 day after the transfer of ownership, the central heating boiler broke down. They stated that it was my own fault. I pointed them to the terms of the purchase. But they don’t care about that. Also, the house was very dirty (I saw that the toilet hadn't been cleaned for weeks), and the real estate agent said they would arrange it. Of course, they didn't. As soon as their money is in, they are gone and unreachable.

Very bad experience with this realtor. Due to a lack of knowledge and incorrect advice from this realtor, we ended up in a legal dispute with the buyers. One big nightmare of one and a half years and more than euros lost on lawyer's fees and settlement costs.

When selling my first house, several established real estate agents from Hoorn came for an intake meeting; it wasn't a pleasant experience. They all had a lot of criticism about my house, which was described as old and supposedly lacking in everything. I didn't have a good feeling about it. I don't remember exactly how, but I ended up with the real estate agency De Stijl, which had only been around for about 2-3 years. Mariska Appelman came by for a consultation and appraisal. What a relief, she seemed very positive, advising and engaged. The house was sold for a 30,000 guilder higher yield compared to others. So now I'm selling my second house, I didn't hesitate to choose De Stijl of course. It’s not a large agency but they are very involved and you certainly aren't just another number. The entire sales process is handled professionally and flawlessly. Quick response time on 06 and app. Two inspiring ladies Mariska and Isabelle who solve all problems perfectly. Also now sold at a very good price within 5 days. De Stijl stands for professionalism, skilled, engaged, efficient - truly recommended. Jan

The staff were very welcoming and tried to be helpful. However, the IT challenges at SNS Bank are quite irritating. Automatic payments usually only appear when I log in via a desktop, not in the app or on a tablet, and they are executed rather randomly, regardless of the settings, even for example for two accounts that I have with one mobile provider. (This kind of thing can cause SNS customers to seem unreliable to third parties.) A few months ago, I stopped by to discuss this at a branch. My scheduled payments were not processed again at that time. And guess what, their systems were down and many customers couldn't even pay in the store at that moment. The staff could do nothing either; I felt sorry for them. I then sent an email about it (not to the branch staff), but I didn’t resolve it; the people who responded had no idea what I was talking about and had no IT knowledge. (I got the impression that changes were being implemented at the time - because I saw changes - and that this operation failed. That happens.) Previously, I strangely discovered one day that all my notifications were turned off, so I switched them back on. I updated this today, Google, because I spoke with someone today whose automatic payment was not executed. If I adjust this review, it is not intended as 'fake engagement' to harm my bank and there is also no reason to do so.

Contact with the real estate agent was very good. They were easily accessible, even on weekends and evenings when we had questions. The brokerage fee is of course already fixed as a certain percentage of the sale price. The higher the yield, the higher the brokerage fee, plus the costs incurred by third parties (such as photography). This is already stated in the offer, so there is no misunderstanding about it. Furthermore, the result of the sale was above expectations, so all praise for the real estate agent.
