Based on our specific experience, I can name two important advantages: 1) An experienced real estate agent works closely with a mortgage advisor and an appraiser to achieve the best possible offer (from various perspectives). 2) The real estate agent, in our case Roger, has quite a bit of experience and negotiation skills. Therefore, we consider the price we paid for the house as the price we paid for the services of De Brabant Makelaar, since we would not have been able to close that deal ourselves.

16 Jun 2025The Brabant realtor was initially very friendly and very positive. The communication to this seller was no costs, only €650 for the brochure and placement on the internet; the rest would be paid by the buyers who would then pay a small amount because it was included in the mortgage application. As far as that went, everything was fine. My wife did have to do a lot of work; all sorts of things had to be provided. There were also sufficient viewings and we received two bids, one of which we accepted outright. However, two days before we had to go to the notary, the surprise came. We suddenly heard that we still had to pay €4000 in realtor fees. This was nowhere agreed upon and was not listed anywhere in the brochure. After a long conversation with the realtor about our disappointment, surprisingly enough, €1000 of the realtor fees could be deducted at once. I find this situation very disappointing and want to warn future sellers about it.

Everything was arranged quickly and correctly, and I was able to move into a nice apartment the same day. Very happy with this service! However, costs were charged for the damage and the cleaning. When I asked for proof (for example, that the house needed to be cleaned after my departure), I could not receive anything.

They ask money for all sorts of nonsense; €60 for printing out a contract, unlawful mediation costs, unjustified retention of deposit and finally exceeding the legal standard of room prices. Positive: they did provide a landlord statement neatly and quickly upon request. @Eigenaar/Marcel; The fact that you can't find me in a database doesn't mean I'm painting a wrong picture or writing unfair reviews.

They selected and chose the landlord themselves, who turned out to have financial problems just a few months later. They were enormously reactive in their attitude and took no action to help us out of this stressful situation. Only after we hired a lawyer ourselves did it become clear that they had not even fulfilled the legal obligations regarding payment arrears. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Date unknownBAD company! charges service costs to both tenant and landlord which is prohibited by law. After sending official letters requesting reimbursement, they simply didn't respond. This company has just stolen over 900 euros from me in this way! Furthermore, they refused to return the key deposit when I went to hand in the keys. So they take money as a deposit but don't give it back! Scammers! Edit: There has indeed been contact with you via my lawyer. I still have all the emails saved. YOU charged service costs to both the letting and renting party. YOU are responsible for this, not the landlord. I see that I am not alone. Shame on you for acting like this now!

30 Oct 2025In eerste instantie hadden wij een andere hypotheekadviseur. Dit was allemaal zeer onpersoonlijk waardoor wij de keuze hebben gemaakt om over te stappen naar Staals & van de Laar. Vanaf het eerste contact hadden wij een heel goed gevoel bij Antoine. Hij nam echt de tijd om onze persoonlijke situatie te begrijpen en gaf helder en eerlijk advies over de mogelijkheden. Wat wij vooral prettig vonden, was dat hij alles rustig uitlegde, zonder moeilijke vaktaal, waardoor wij precies wisten waar wij aan toe waren. Daarnaast was het hele proces ontzettend vlot geregeld. Antoine hield ons steeds goed op de hoogte, dacht actief mee en zorgde ervoor dat alles soepel en zonder stress verliep. Die persoonlijke betrokkenheid en snelle service maken echt het verschil. Kortom: Antoine is een deskundige, betrouwbare en vriendelijke hypotheekadviseur die zijn klanten met aandacht begeleidt. Wij kunnen hem van harte aanbevelen aan iedereen die op zoek is naar persoonlijke hulp en een prettig, zorgeloos traject.

Ultimately we found the house ourselves, but he also guided us well through the process after the purchase. What was also very pleasant was that he responded quickly to questions. The smaller office also meant that in terms of planning and availability it was sometimes a bit more difficult.
