Date unknownBecause I have HSP, I emphatically asked when purchasing an ex-Wocom home whether there was noise pollution. 'No, I know nothing about that,' said the old realtor vd Hurk. Later it turns out that there is a huge construction defect in the house, which has been known to everyone for 35 years! The local plumber, handyman, and therefore also the realtor, that's 100% certain. We have been searching for a quieter home for years now, but meanwhile we have already invested all our money in this property due to this lie !! 👎 (For those who don’t believe me; I recorded the conversation).

Based on our specific experience, I can name two important advantages: 1) An experienced real estate agent works closely with a mortgage advisor and an appraiser to achieve the best possible offer (from various perspectives). 2) The real estate agent, in our case Roger, has quite a bit of experience and negotiation skills. Therefore, we consider the price we paid for the house as the price we paid for the services of De Brabant Makelaar, since we would not have been able to close that deal ourselves.

16 Jun 2025The Brabant realtor was initially very friendly and very positive. The communication to this seller was no costs, only €650 for the brochure and placement on the internet; the rest would be paid by the buyers who would then pay a small amount because it was included in the mortgage application. As far as that went, everything was fine. My wife did have to do a lot of work; all sorts of things had to be provided. There were also sufficient viewings and we received two bids, one of which we accepted outright. However, two days before we had to go to the notary, the surprise came. We suddenly heard that we still had to pay €4000 in realtor fees. This was nowhere agreed upon and was not listed anywhere in the brochure. After a long conversation with the realtor about our disappointment, surprisingly enough, €1000 of the realtor fees could be deducted at once. I find this situation very disappointing and want to warn future sellers about it.

You already had problems when signing the contract because I am from Poland; I had to pay for a floor that was already there, and when I moved out, you didn't want to refund the money or have the flooring removed - this is just one example. Poles who come to your office are treated unfairly, and I also know this from other people.

Too bad about this review. This is a Polish lady whom we have never seen or spoken to. And an unjustified rating. This is completely unknown to us. We regularly rent to Polish people and it never causes problems. However, we work for landlords and do not own any properties that we rent out ourselves. If possible, we would like to know which address it concerns. We suspect it does not belong to our office.
