08 Feb 2023Mr. van Engelen is a disgrace in the real estate world. We had submitted an offer on Friday afternoon for a house in Aalst-Waalre with the conditions regarding the transfer of the house attached. On Friday evening, we were called by Mr. van Engelen stating that our bid and our conditions had been accepted. On Monday, we made an appointment to sign the preliminary purchase agreement on Tuesday afternoon. I was called on Tuesday morning by Mr. van Engelen with the message that we could not buy the house after all because they went into business with another buyer! This other party suddenly offered more??!!! And better conditions??!! Unbelievable and unacceptable. So with Mr. van Engelen, a word is NO word, so the term unreliable certainly applies to this person, and he has thrown all decency overboard. SHAME!

Viewings were quickly requested, good objective assessments of the houses, and advice on how to increase your chances. They ask money for all sorts of nonsense; €60 for printing out a contract, unlawful mediation costs, unjustified retention of deposit and finally exceeding the legal standard of room prices. Positive: they did provide a landlord statement neatly and quickly upon request. @Eigenaar/Marcel; The fact that you can't find me in a database doesn't mean I'm painting a wrong picture or writing unfair reviews.
