Initially, I first got acquainted with Joek by phone in his role as a sales broker in the search for an apartment. During this conversation, I was surprised by the enthusiasm of the broker and the time he took to answer my questions and provide advice. Especially remarkable that this conversation took place on Friday evening, well after 18:00. His role as a sales broker changed into a purchasing broker upon acquaintance. This resulted, to our amazement and to our delight, fairly quickly in a purchase and a lovely apartment, it's A'dam Good Story. From the very beginning, it was clear that Vanessa operates on a completely different level than the other real estate agents I have dealt with. From the outside, she is relaxed, easygoing and gives everyone, seller and buyer, a good feeling right away. Inside, she is super driven, sharp, can easily distinguish between main points and details, goes directly for the goal, keeps everything under control and manages well but always in a pleasant way. Within a month, I had a good offer while comparable properties were on the market for 4 / 5 months. It was otherwise not an easy process due to financing problems of the buyer, but Vanessa repeatedly solved the bottlenecks, protected my interests very well, and thanks to her tireless commitment, the sale went smoothly for everyone. She is actually a 6-star real estate agent, it's a shame I can only give 5!

We chose Sterk Makelaars because of the competitive pricing and knowledge of the local market. Despite the competitive pricing, the photos of our projects were phenomenally good. The persuasive texts from Sterk Makelaar are also spot on. Selling our houses was then a piece of cake. The hardest part was choosing a buyer among all the attractive offers we were allowed to receive. Very satisfied with Remco and Skender. I sold my house in the Nellenstein. I called Skender, the next day he came by to take a look and we agreed on a price. Very professional all around. The house was listed on funda within 1.5 weeks and sold for more than the asking price within 3 days. I sold the house together with my ex-partner, she unfortunately did not leave a good review for these gentlemen, which is a shame. She was simply angry because she had little to say about the sale. I definitely recommend these gentlemen!

In short: just don't do it! Explanation can be found below. ________________________________________ From A to Z, this process has been very unprofessional. The real estate agent we appointed for the sale, Skender, went on vacation immediately after accepting the offer, without any notification. Afterwards, we were left with his replacement, Remco, and that was a terrible experience all around. Here's a list: 1. Remco never answered when you called and didn't respond to messages -- even the notary mentioned during the sale that Remco is known for being unavailable. 2. Remco also didn't introduce himself after taking over from Skender. He didn't say anything and offered no information about the viewings he had planned. 3. Remco provided false information during the viewings, which has also negatively impacted the selling price of our house. 4. Remco was very rude all around. 5. Remco sold items with the house that were not for sale. 6. When Remco was confronted about this, he said: 'I'm not going to negotiate over a few items.' Ultimately, due to his attitude and unwillingness to advocate for our interests, we were unable to keep our belongings. 7. Remco made agreements with the purchasing party regarding the terms of the sale that were not discussed with us. When the notary tried to call him about this, he -of course- didn't answer either. And so on. When we contacted Skender about the substandard service provided, Skender was very indignant that we were dissatisfied. He did not acknowledge our frustrations and we also experienced no improvement or received any apologies. All in all, there was a huge lack of transparency, accessibility and customer focus. It is absolutely not recommended to work with either of these two men. They are both completely incompetent and unprofessional real estate agents.

Unfortunately, dramatic experience with Skender. I contacted them because I wanted help determining a good offer for a house, as I naturally want to make an offer that is proportionate to the house. Ultimately came up with an offer that was tens of thousands of euros above the appraisal value and above other bids. Of course, you only find out about that later. I don't understand house prices, so that’s why I engaged a buyer's agent. So yeah, too much trust. But unfortunately, Skender showed 0 reflection and responsibility in this and mainly wants his invoice to be paid.

We were scammed by this agency. We rented an apartment for 2700 (Lindengracht 332), which they advertised as recently renovated and beautiful. In reality, this apartment was filthy and disgusting. The walls had black mold in multiple places, the furniture was broken, and every corner of the apartment was dirty, worn out, and disgusting. After confronting them about the problems, they started lying and blaming my family members for ‘not following standard procedure’, which was completely untrue. Ultimately, we had to hire a lawyer, but we were able to get our deposit back, but we were still scammed an extra € 1350,- due to the cheap landlord who refused to take responsibility for his disgusting apartment.

They know the market well, know how to bring buyers and sellers together, and provide sufficient support. Definitely holding an open house (which you do as a seller, the real estate agent arranges all advertisements and forms) was incredibly interesting and fun to do. Four stars, because I am a satisfied customer (landlord) with a critical note. First the good news: A plus is good at finding tenants and providing guidance. They do it professionally and reliably, even meticulously. Big compliment and a recommendation for anyone who has something to rent out to expats or other tenants. Less content I am with the settlement. Especially the deposit and brokerage fees. That took some time. And the agreements were not 100% clear and the response was somewhat defensive. Ultimately we figured it out so my final judgment is positive: 4 stars, which means 'good'. I recommend Karin and make good arrangements!!

In our search for a sales broker, we came into contact with Hans. The initial contact was immediately pleasant and positive. He guided us well through the sales process, and was the only one of the three brokers we had invited who came up with the good idea to have photos taken during our vacation. That pragmatic attitude is characteristic of Hans and decisive in our choice for him. We have not regretted that. Hans adapts easily and is flexible in his approach. He listens well to wishes and then gives good advice. He always responded within a day to our questions and he kept appointments. After some setbacks in our own purchase process, he recommended another skilled purchasing broker, Kersten. Which made us feel enormously helped. We can confirm, as several reviews already say, that Hans is a friendly, honest and skilled broker!
