07 Oct 2025No good experience with this real estate agent. We engaged Vesta to assist us both in the sale of our home and in the purchase of a new home. After initial conversations and one unsuccessful bid on a house, contact with Vesta became less frequent until communication completely stopped. A property profile was supposed to be created for us with suitable houses, but this never got off the ground. We then, after weeks of radio silence, were forced to engage another real estate agent who successfully managed to help us move. Now, a year and a half later, an invoice of 500 euros for cancellation fees has been placed on our mat. Technically/legal correct but it feels easily earned, doesn't it? If you're looking for a real estate agent who can guide you from start to finish, keep looking.

Second, his work ethic is excellent. The communication was effortless, relaxed, and he responded incredibly quickly – often via WhatsApp, without any form of a 9-to-5 mindset. Joek is fully available for you, always reachable, proactive, and has an eye for every detail. However, what really struck me was how attentive and caring he is as a person. Upon first contact, Joek showed up on his scooter in casual clothing, unlike other real estate agents who arrive in a suit with folders. It was a pleasant conversation where the feeling was immediately good. He is clear and honest, which also turned out to be the case during the entire sales process. Joek even solved a problem with the door to the garden! When we decided to engage Joek, he immediately got to work. For example, with a temperature of 30 degrees, he was trimming the hedge and wiping the windows, among other tasks. Joek also took care of beautiful photos, after a nice styling. He helped her find an apartment that met all her requirements and fit within her budget within a few weeks. I got in touch with him after having viewed apartments for weeks and rejected offers. After two months of searching, I found an apartment that really appealed to me, so I decided to approach Barry and try my luck. Within four days of the collaboration, the offer was accepted. The entire process went smoothly and the real estate agent was present throughout. I can wholeheartedly recommend Barry, because he is transparent, realistic, very knowledgeable and knows almost all real estate agents/notaries in the city, which is very handy during bidding negotiations.

07 May 2025In our search for a good real estate agent in Amsterdam, we were recommended Barry. After an initial conversation, we immediately had confidence in both Barry and Monique. Barry quickly understood what we were looking for after this conversation and also advised us accordingly. Throughout the entire process, Barry was very involved and always open to all of our questions. As expected, we ended up in a challenging market, swinging back and forth between making a winning bid and bidding at a reasonable level to justify the mortgage value. Having Barry in our team felt like a huge relief. We forgot about the battle we had to fight by leaving it to a very experienced professional and simply enjoyed the ride.
