She is very professional, but absolutely does not forget the human aspect when buying a house. We really needed her services for the purchase of an apartment. Without her critical perspective, decisiveness, but also very friendly approach, we would never have been able to get a house. By having the appraisal done here for the purchase of a home, we either had to pay an additional 10,000 euro or have another paid appraisal done by another party because the first appraisal was not real. Unfortunately, we had to incur extra costs as a result, which we could have prevented by not choosing Kleurrijk Makelaars.

21 Apr 2025Houtman & De Vogel. I had them highly rated as a real estate agent, but they really completely missed the mark. Making an April Fool's joke by offering a characteristic property for sale in Boskoop. Interested parties received an email back stating that it was an April Fool's joke. Knowing how tense the housing market is, especially among young people, this is a truly hopeless joke. In my opinion, the employees didn't think things through well before doing this. Giving people hope in this way I find very bad. I secretly hope it costs them customers. Very very bad Houtman @ De Vogel.

I was asked about 'administrative costs', which, as it turned out later, were no longer legally allowed in the Netherlands. And I never received my full deposit back from the landlord, who effectively took care of the real estate agent without telling me anything at all. They knew that I would be leaving the country, so I was, like many others (see reviews), the ideal victim. Not really helpful for expats, quite the contrary. You could say that I am an expert in fooling expats :)

14 Sep 2023Correct communication via their website as well as by phone, with punctual appointments, both at the start of the rental and upon termination of the lease agreement and handover. However, Xpat Xpert defends ONLY the interests of the landlord (landlord). Despite a perfectly cleaned apartment upon handover, confirmed by photos and a signed handover statement (signed by an employee of Xpat Xpert), part of the deposit was withheld. Xpat Xpert has not heard anything more about this matter. Complete radio silence despite repeated requests for clarification as to the reason for this, as well as their support for the tenant, given the signed handover statement. Still a disappointing end to the rental agreement!

14 Sep 2022Some time ago I was invited for a viewing. For this, I traveled to Leiden, sent all my documentation, and was greeted kindly. Unfortunately, after that, I never heard anything more. I repeatedly tried to make contact, both by email and telephone, but I was never answered. I find this a very unsocial situation; I invest effort, time and money in the procedure only to hear nothing!

To prevent problems, make sure you have a signed agreement during the final inspection of the apartment about what needs to be repaired/cleaned before handing over the keys.

10 Sep 2025Be aware of your deposit when renting through this agency. After almost three years of renting with Finke, I received a final inspection where a 10cm long scratch was noted. The inspector indicated that everything was in order and gave the impression that the tenancy had ended well. No instruction was given to me to remove this scratch before the end of the month. A week after the end of my rental period, I found out that all walls were repainted at a cost of 1500 euros, which came directly from my deposit. I disagreed with this - I could have painted it myself for 20 euros - and took it to court, where I was given the right side. I got my deposit back.

According to the real estate agents, it was a short circuit that would be resolved within a few hours (it took much longer). I had to contact them multiple times to get it resolved. Edit: I now live in this apartment for 5 months and I still don't have a working intercom (I opened a ticket in week 2).

10 Sep 2025We arrived in Rotterdam at the beginning of August. Verra was recommended to us by my husband's company and the future school of my children. Our realtor was a girl named Elicia, and I can only say that she was so kind, sweet, nice and helpful. Absolutely professional. Because this was our first time in the Netherlands, we had no idea how the market works here. We were used to a fast market and many viewings as quickly as possible. That is not the case here. Elicia was therefore extremely patient with us and especially with my mood at that moment 😬. She remained calm and acted well. She had to explain all government requirements, rules and regulations. 17 Aug 2025Regron carried out the valuation as part of our separation, at the request of the counterparty, who was also the client in this case. Unfortunately, this was an extremely negative experience. From the moment of entry, there was no introductory discussion or attempt to involve both owners in a respectful and equal manner. The appraiser focused solely on one party, failing to adopt any neutral stance. Throughout the entire process, communication only occurred with the counterparty, without informing or involving me as a co-owner. Even if the other party is the client, an appraiser should professionally and respectfully treat both owners – something that was completely lacking here. This created not only the impression but also the feeling that the valuation came about one-sidedly. The appraiser was clearly influenced by the counterparty, which resulted in an unnecessarily high valuation that needlessly complicates the buyout process. In a separation, a neutral, objective and careful approach is essential. Especially in such sensitive situations, an appraiser must act professionally, take into account emotions and tensions, and treat both parties equally. This was completely absent in this case. My experience is that Regron’s attitude makes it totally unsuitable for carrying out valuations in divorce situations.
