He even prevented me from buying a property that did not fit me. He saw that I was desperate and was about to make a wrong choice. 24 Jan 2026Because the organization sometimes seems to claim that they have nothing to do with us, you can read a review here. They claim to have 15 years of experience, while the person who helped us was a bus driver before (!) We not only lost a lot of money by engaging this real estate agency, but we have also seen similar incidents in the Zoetermeer area with the same people. Check their reviews on Trustpilot! A very disappointing real estate agency, especially Ivo and the so-called 'owner' Bert van der Krogt stand out. Our dedicated real estate agent didn't even have a professional real estate background; he used to work for the Haagse Tram. The entire business model is based on a commission structure that is not shared within the office. Real estate agents – internally trained by Remax and not certified by the NVM – earn exclusively from their own sales. This model does not serve the client's interests. In an already difficult housing market, potential buyers were not proactively referred or encouraged, simply because this would not benefit the agent personally. This undermines the seller's position fundamentally. Throughout the entire sales process, we received a stream of excuses about the lack of progress: 'The sun is shining, people are at the beach.' 'It's raining, so people stay indoors.' We even had to organize open houses ourselves. Under the supervision of owner Bert van der Krogt, a sale was arranged for a property belonging to agent Ivo's daughter – which was privately sold to a third party. This felt at least very suspicious. After confronting them with this and clearly stating that we no longer wanted to be represented by Remax – after three-quarters of a year on the market – we switched real estate agencies, despite multiple threats from Bert. The NVM-certified agent who took over only needed one open house to sell the property and did so in a professional, transparent, and genuinely service-oriented manner.

07 Dec 2025We visited a house on Kamperfoeliestraat with one of these real estate agents. We walked in and were immediately asked with a smile, 'Oh, you don't have a buyer's agent?' After viewing the house, we asked about the service they offer as a buyer's agent. The gentleman asked about our wishes and I passed them on. Then came the comment, 'You certainly want to live close to your parents. Well then you'll have to lower your wishes very quickly, because this way it will never work.' The comment was totally unfriendly and it felt like we weren't taken seriously. And guess what. We did manage to buy a home with our wishes, without a buyer's agent. Also, we were allowed to view other homes within our price range with our wishes. So Re/max, thanks for nothing.

07 Nov 2025Last week I had a conversation with Remax - Bert. The conversation went well and Bert, although he sometimes had some difficulty getting to the point, was very friendly and even promised to speed up the results and come back as soon as possible. He did this within an hour, which was good. The reason why I have to give 1 star is that he valued the property about 10% below the WOZ value (taxable value of January 2024). The apartment is not in a great condition, but it did have several good selling points, such as a large roof terrace. All of this on top of the plan to do viewings only in one week with a bidding deadline, a 'no pay no cure' policy and a fixed commission of 3500 euros. It gave me the impression that if they keep the price low, there will always be offers and even if they are below my expectations, 'they have' done their job and I must therefore pay, even if I don't want to sell at that price. For me it feels like there is no motivation and trust that the agent will get me the best price. Moreover, he would have pointed out a few extra points for us next Monday (yesterday), but he did not do that. Since then I have spoken to two other agents who both gave a better presentation and follow-up. Of course, I will, to guarantee the accuracy of this review, post an update as soon as I have put/sold the apartment, to show whether they might have been right after all.

One time they blame it on a “bug” in their system and another time on it ending up in the spam folder. Also things like receiving a message at 00:30 am about an appointment for the same morning and whether you can open the door because the realtor cannot themselves. Be wise and sometimes a cheap deal is not the best.

25 Sep 2025Very disappointing experience with the mortgage advisor from Alpina Makelaars Our experience with the aforementioned mortgage advisor from Alpina Makelaars when applying for a mortgage was truly frustrating and disappointing. From the beginning, it became clear that he answered detailed questions only poorly. Instead of clear explanations or expert advice, we often received evasive answers with the message that we 'just had to have a bit of trust'. That is naturally not what you are hoping for when making such an important financial decision. Most of the time during the conversations was spent complaining about his previous and current colleagues. Very unprofessional to vent your complaints about systems or people to your clients. In addition, he initially tried to push us towards a completely new mortgage with another lender instead of taking over the existing mortgage. Only because we as customers insisted, was ultimately chosen for the better solution. That is what we consider to be the reverse of how it should be. We expect expert advice, where we as customers are advised about the best and most advantageous choice. That is something we had to figure out ourselves, and we had to hold our ground to get this advantageous option investigated. What followed was a series of negligence and poor communication. After starting the mortgage process, we heard nothing for weeks until we ourselves contacted them. Then it turned out that there was an error in the bank's system, causing a delay in the application – without us being informed about this. Errors and delays can happen, but not informing us about them is truly bad. Also afterwards the contact remained minimal to absent. Again, we heard nothing for weeks, and only upon inquiry did it turn out that documents from us were expected – but no one had informed us of this. Because of this passivity and poor follow-up, the file suddenly needed to be processed urgently, putting the deed's passing date at risk. The notary even warned that this date was probably no longer achievable. Even during scheduled contact times, the advisor did not respond at all. In the end, I as a customer – one week before the passing date – called all involved parties (mortgage advisor, bank and notary) myself to keep some control over the process and make the urgency of the situation clear. In the end, everything came just in time, but this was entirely due to our own efforts. The entire process went smoothly, unprofessionally and without the necessary guidance you may expect from a real estate agent or mortgage advisor. Delays and errors are human, and that is not what we're disappointed about. The poor communication and negligence is what we are truly angry about. Fortunately, there were still a few colleagues at the office who stood up for us on the last day and also put pressure on the situation. In short: we can absolutely not recommend Alpina. The lack of proactivity, minimal communication and the inability to manage the process have made arranging our mortgage a stressful and unnecessarily complicated experience.

07 Sep 2025In the period May – August, we hired MDM real estate agency to help us sell the house. She reacted alertly and quickly and had already done her homework prior to the first appointment. She indicated for which price similar properties in the street had been sold before, critically but positively assessed the condition of our house and provided a proposal with a sales strategy. The strategy seemed good to us and her asking price was well-reasoned. Within 10 working days, photos and video recordings of the house were made with professional quality and placed on Funda. A flyer was also distributed in the neighborhood. We could follow the interest ourselves on Funda and a week later the first viewings took place. A week later, the first three bids came in and we were pleased to note that there was a good offer. The process from bid to sale was handled punctually and efficiently and overdracht (transfer) could take place in mid-August. Looking back, I give the following profile for MDM real estate agency: Professional, efficient, punctual, focus on client’s interest, honest and friendly. On the next occasion, we will call her first.

07 Oct 2025Be aware of your deposit when renting through this agency. After almost three years of renting with Finke, I received a final inspection where a 10cm long scratch was noted. The inspector indicated that everything was in order and gave the impression that the tenancy had ended well. No instruction was given to me to remove this scratch before the end of the month. A week after the end of my rental period, I found out that all walls were repainted at a cost of 1500 euros, which came directly from my deposit. I disagreed with this - I could have painted it myself for 20 euros - and took it to court, where I was given the right side. I got my deposit back.

She knows her stuff, understands what you're looking for, and gives reliable advice. Because she knows the market, she could tell us when a property would likely be sold above our asking price. This saved us time viewing properties and allowed us to search more targeted. She responds quickly and communicates well. She takes the time to explain things and guides you through the process. Her excellent advice ensured that our first offer was accepted, which, as we know, is rarely the case in the housing market. She also gave us good recommendations for other service providers. There are several things we would change about our house search, but Nivita is not one of them. If we buy/sell a house again, we will approach Nivita first and I can wholeheartedly recommend her to everyone.
