23 Feb 2025My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Lisette Van Tilburg as our realtor for our recent home purchase. We came to Lisette in a difficult situation: we needed a house as quickly as possible, because our rental contract expired in two months and we couldn't go anywhere else afterwards. Lisette was clear that it would be a challenging task, especially given the crazy housing market in Amsterdam, but ultimately she more than delivered. Throughout the entire purchasing process, she expertly guided us, from viewings and appraisals to making an offer and the transfer of ownership. As first-time buyers and expats, we had many questions and Lisette was always willing to answer them. We especially appreciated her quick communication. We also felt that she always had our best interests at heart and was never pressured to make bids that didn't make sense for us. Ultimately, our initial offer was accepted after some back and forth with the seller and we bought the perfect starter home for us in just under 7 weeks from our first meeting with Lisette. This despite a problem with our mortgage provider, which she handled as a true professional. For what it's worth: our house was also valued higher than we paid, so the immediate equity gave us the feeling that we had made a good deal. We still can’t believe she could realize this home purchase so quickly and are enormously grateful for her expertise and guidance. A real recommendation!

Date unknownMore than a year ago, we sold our farmhouse through Het Betere Boerenerf. We asked for quotes from several real estate agents at the time and ultimately chose this agency despite it being the most expensive. This led us to expect that we would be fully taken care of and provided with all advice. Unfortunately, that has not been the case. We were confronted with a hefty fine because Het Betere Boerenerf did not mention the energy label back then. We raised this issue with Het Betere Boerenerf. Long story short: they are unresponsive. The fine is for us. In short, an expensive real estate agency but the added value escapes us. A small follow-up: the realtor contacted us long after this review. He stated that his response was delayed because he first had to recover from such a review. Furthermore, his reaction was the same as with other negative reviews I find on the site. Namely, it's the customer’s fault and certainly not Het Betere Boerenerf’s. Moreover, he does want satisfied customers but only when the bill is with the customer and remains with the customer.

That's what happened, we understood from the buyer afterwards. All in all, our house was sold quickly at a price we are very satisfied with.
