07 Feb 2025Early December, we went to view a house where Mr. Baaten, as the selling real estate agent from Huizenpraktijk, gave the tour. All interested parties had been given the opportunity until a certain point to submit 1 bid through an online bidding site. We had also done so. That same afternoon, we received a phone call saying that our offer was the best and also received this in writing via email that same evening. The next morning (less than 24 hours later), we received a phone call where Mr. Baaten told us that the sellers had had their own viewing outside of the real estate agent and had offered 20K more. Our bid, which had gone through the official bidding process, was naturally no longer the best bid. We were of course given the opportunity to also offer an extra 20K, so ultimately it still became a 'bidding against each other' game. Through various channels, we later heard that it would have proceeded through the real estate agent anyway, so very disappointing that there seems to be lying and that the sellers received the blame.

They showed the house to two parties at the same time during viewings, and the agent who led us around was clearly not well-informed about the property. Questions about the seller, neighbors, and the property itself were not answered truthfully. In email correspondence, our salutation was incorrect. Photos of us were taken at the notary's office without our permission. It is clear that houses sell themselves in the current market.

Furthermore, we don't have an internal service department, so all phone calls are handled directly by one of our two real estate agents. We have also spoken to you on the phone several times. In the end, a big mistake from the office when making an offer from the seller turned out that there was still the previous offer in Move, which was lower than what had been presented. This cost us money unfortunately. The real estate agent also put in their own money to accommodate the buyer. This should never have happened! Unfortunately, nothing from the office heard about this.

29 Jul 2025*Van Liessum: a real estate agent who truly thinks along with you* When we decided to sell our house, we knew we wanted an agent who is not only professional but also involved. Van Liessum turned out to be exactly that. From the first contact, it felt familiar—a no-nonsense approach, clear communication, and a warm manner. What we greatly appreciated was that *they were always accessible*, even on Sunday. That gave us the feeling that we were never alone. Throughout the entire process, we were *kept well informed in a timely manner*, so we knew exactly what to expect. What genuinely made us happy was that *the buyers also told us how pleasant they found the contact*. That says a lot about Van Liessum's attitude: honest, clear, and friendly towards all parties. All appointments we made were *always kept without exception*. In an exciting period, this gave peace of mind and confidence. In short, Van Liessum not only handled this sale well but also ensured a pleasant experience. We are incredibly grateful and would definitely recommend them.

29 May 2025Our experience in a few keywords: expert, collaborative, clear, very pleasant to deal with and always available for questions. In short: great to work with! Too many brokers promise their clients mountains of gold and therefore secure the assignment. Andrew remains realistic with his excellent knowledge of the market, however, tempering high expectations when they exist. Striking is the genuine commitment from the awareness that selling and buying your 'home' has a considerable impact on you as a person.

29 Nov 2024We are happy with van Liessum. Van Liessum sold us a house four years ago and it already felt so familiar that we engaged them four years later to sell the house again. The real estate agent communicates quickly and correctly. Andrew even responded while he was on vacation. Very neat. Moreover, he comes across as relaxed, natural and reliable. No slick and exaggerated 'popie-jopie' practices therefore, but just a solid realtor style. The photos were also beautiful. The process further proceeded smoothly. Uploading documentation via the Move platform is also easy and largely automated. After viewings, we received a neat summary of how it went in the Move platform and via WhatsApp. Van Liessum has, as far as I can see, three employees, including the owner. As far as I am concerned, this is an advantage because you always have contact with the same familiar people. Our house was sold within 7 working days with tightly planned viewing days in good consultation. Top experience. Recommended!
