23 Jul 2024Lack of professionalism and ethics. After a viewing and several conversations, I had agreed on everything with the real estate agency and the owner of the studio I wanted to rent. On the day I was supposed to pick up the key, while everything was ready to move in, I received an email stating that the owner had changed their mind and instead wanted a student. I understand that it may not be entirely their fault, but the way I was informed is unacceptable. Just a few hours before our meeting, with only an email and not even help offered in finding something else.

A lot came with that because the seller didn't deliver. Despite the fact that he was not contractually obligated to do so, he was fully involved and completely took care of me in successfully obtaining the property. I would like to buy more houses with him. He is also just a nice guy. The most important thing for me is that he focuses entirely on the relationship; that's what's most important to him, and that gives me a very good feeling! We have never encountered a real estate agent like Gerald. His enthusiasm and personal approach were truly special. Instead of simply letting us “look around,” as we were used to with previous agents, Gerald showed us around as if it were his own home. He took the time to make us feel comfortable, which we really appreciated. It felt as though he was genuinely involved and not just completing a viewing. The initial preparation to present the house involved expert discussions with many valuable and tailored tips and hints as to what is important for interested people. For controversial topics, diplomatic solutions were always found, which I was satisfied with. The explanation of all documents made was excellent. Ultimately, it was a great surprise to me how quickly our farm succeeded with mutual (seller/buyer) agreement. Here I must say, thanks to the fantastic guidance from the real estate agency.
