From the initial consultation to the handling, you work with a very accessible and expert duo, Michel Wels and Liam de Bruin. Clear agreements are made but there is also ample room for your own ideas and wishes. Communication runs smoothly and a trusting relationship quickly develops. Because the sale took a little longer, it was nice to feel space to think along, give feedback and the adjustments to the approach were well received. We have two young children and didn't want to be at home during the sale. She has once again managed to successfully sell a beautiful two-under-one-roof house in Houten-Oost. What truly sets her apart for us is the fact that she made everything as easy as possible for us. She is clear and friendly in her communication and relieved us of so many things, often taking initiative. Even when our administrative paperwork didn't go smoothly, she helped us get it done anyway. Denise is a real estate agent who truly thinks along with her clients and is incredibly flexible and extremely patient! In addition, she was very understanding of our situation and managed to facilitate this process for us in various ways. Appraisal recording done on 13-11-2023, delivery of report 8 working days later, faster than I normally do, however your own proposal for the recording was one day later than the delivery of the report, namely 24 Nov. But here are my apologies for the slightly longer processing time, normally I am very quick. During the phone call (which, as far as I can tell, did not proceed in an unfriendly manner at all), you indicated that you expected a much higher appraised value. Even a higher appraisal value than the purchase price you paid. Of course, I cannot accommodate that. The fact that this is your complaint you unfortunately did not mention in this review. Moreover, in the almost 25 years that I have been doing this work, I have never received the reproach that I would be unfriendly. I find it a bit odd that you do not report the real reason for your dissatisfaction, but deliberately place an unwarranted negative review.

27 Oct 2025About a year ago, we moved from Van der Zaanstraat 1 3317WT Dordrecht. Melvin de Makelaar represented the homeowner and behaved very impolitely towards us, the tenants, during checkout. First, they were late for our checkout appointment and then they told us that we had to pay for a dirty oven. We asked for it to be cleaned, which was 20 minutes of work, but he refused. Later, he deducted €250 from our deposit. Very impolite behavior, I would never recommend this real estate agent. By the way, I later complained to the owner and got my money back.

The first time we were looking for a property in the Netherlands. We weren't even in the Netherlands when we did so. Melvin is a good listener. He listened to all our wishes and requirements, made a shortlist of houses that were on the market, and after the second (online) viewing, we had our first house in a new country. He also knows the market and all the details about it. That helps with the negotiation and bidding process. After living in a rental property for 1.5 years, we decided to buy a home of our own. We knew who to call. Melvin of course :) Here too, he listened carefully to us, gave good advice, and put us in contact with the right people (notary, mortgage advisor, technical inspection etc.). Because they are slightly larger than the other offices, they are flexible with scheduling viewings and ensure that you can attend, which meant that we had a house in 6 weeks, for a good price. Bas also helped us excellently afterwards with some setbacks after the purchase, much more than we expected since the sale was already finalized. Bas & Punt really stood by our side throughout - which saves a lot of worries when you buy your first home. A real estate agent is not cheap, but without Punt it would have cost us much more. Top then.
