05 Oct 2025Marco is charming, but he is not reliable. During the sale of our house, he was not transparent with us about his attempts to benefit from potential buyers without our knowledge. He told potential buyers that if he sold their home, he would ensure they were chosen. He did all this behind our backs (we accidentally found out when we contacted these people). Also, he withheld submitted stories on Move.nl for us by not making them available. We find it very disappointing how someone in this position abuses the power so much. Our advice: go for another real estate agent. He is cheap, but the sale of your home is too important to skimp on.

The first email was on a Friday when the house had just been put online. This morning I got a call saying that something had gone wrong with the emails can happen. 2x in a row with 2 workdays in between is quite coincidental. Apart from the fact that they suddenly found my email. And just saying it can mean nothing for you. And when you ask what can you offer as a solution. Can mean nothing for you and can do nothing for you. Find it quite ridiculous that they don't even bother to look for a solution for you or just simply say sorry.

We came across Yess by chance during a viewing in Barendrecht and received a card then. Later we had an introductory meeting with Denise, and that felt right away good: spontaneous, social and clearly expert. Therefore we chose her as our purchase agent, and we have not regretted that for a moment. The contact was very low-threshold, via phone and WhatsApp, always quick and friendly. We received clear explanations for our (sometimes many) questions and doubts, and that gave a lot of trust. Viewings were quickly arranged, while we were at work, and Yess always made good preparations with points of attention and relevant documents. Therefore we always knew where to pay attention. The bidding advice was also realistic and well-founded, with an eye for the market and our situation. Moreover, we have maintained pleasant and low-threshold contact and they have handled things appropriately to what we needed. Furthermore, they are still slightly more priced than other offices. Everything was brought to a successful end in express train speed.

We found it an exciting adventure where we also found reassurance with the staff. The house has passed with a beautiful offer, which was mainly due to the expertise in the entire process. The photo reportage, the posts on social media and viewings. The real estate agent never left us in the dark. We can wholeheartedly recommend Maarten Makelaar. The five stars are very well placed. Hats off to us for all the staff.

They organized fine and low-threshold contact and we received nice updates from viewings. Besides that, they were also a bit more sharply priced than other offices. All in all a top experience that was successfully brought to an end with good teamwork.

Luckily we had a high bidder, but in terms of quantity of bidders not enough which might be a risk to be expected by agent. All service and quality of service in English was great.

In an exciting yet sometimes confusing search for a new home, there is nothing better than having people around you who truly understand you. And they did, every single one of them. Marloes, Pim and Boudewijn… what a wonderful buying team. Each with their own strength, but all equally warm, knowledgeable, patient and involved. They really listened to what I was looking for, thought along (even outside the beaten path). They were always honest, even when a house simply wasn’t it. That openness and honesty I valued enormously. I felt seen, heard and supported in every step. What made this experience so special for me is that it wasn't just about finding my dream home. It was also about trust, being truly cared for and people who work with their hearts. And you can feel that. Not only from the buying team, but from the whole Maarten Makelaardij team.
