30 Oct 2024They deter potential buyers (us) because there were enough applications for a house, and they allegedly didn't receive our request to schedule a viewing the day after the house appeared on funda. When does an email not arrive anymore? Tried again a week later and then we ended up on the reserve list. Surely you don't want that as a selling party, keeping possible buyers away? Besides being more expensive than Van Herk, this kind of practice prevents us from having our property sold through this real estate agent. edit: following reaction: YES, I was FINALLY approached because a reserve spot became available. After-dinner mustard considering we were actually very quick to apply. But the seller AND the realtor must both understand that if the house is located near a busy road, as a potential buyer of a property worth more than 800,000 euros, you would like to stand in the garden behind the house during rush hour, and not only at a time deliberately outside of it. In addition, this timeslot was over 2 days after the call, and you really need to be able to make that happen.

Despite the enormous pressure on the housing market, I never felt like a number with Van Rhijn Makelaars. They were involved, fast, and always accessible. My house was ultimately sold well, and I was completely relieved of responsibility throughout the process. It was sold subject to conditions, namely arranging an energy label which doesn't exist and the land registry information which is incorrect. And then there’s nothing more. Strange way of working and therefore no trust in this real estate agent.
