12 Jul 2025I got to know Joek as the sales broker of the house where I now live. He wasn't 'hired' by me, so to speak, but if I ever sell my house again, that’s what I would do. Joek connects with people; he is genuinely interested in how they are doing, and when he looks at a property, he sees the person who lives there. Also, Joek has an eye for how to get houses photographed well, which beautiful glimpses make the house worth it. So trust him if he wants to shuffle things around! His individuality is something you either like or not (I do). Don't expect a typical broker in a suit, but a man who lovingly and creatively puts a property on the market and goes to great lengths to make the sale a pleasure for both parties.

All locals found it a great experience and Joek sold it again at an unexpected result. With this realtor, nothing matters, he takes care of everything down to the details. Not cheap, but the best!

He says what he thinks, can sometimes come across as too direct, but I personally like that. No bla bla and empty promises, just simple honesty! Joek is always reachable; it doesn't matter to him if you call him at 9 pm for urgent questions. 13 May 2025Initially, I first got acquainted with Joek by phone in his role as a sales broker in the search for an apartment. During this conversation, I was surprised by the enthusiasm of the broker and the time he took to answer my questions and provide advice. Especially remarkable that this conversation took place on Friday evening, well after 18:00. His role as a sales broker changed into a purchasing broker upon acquaintance. This resulted, to our amazement and to our delight, fairly quickly in a purchase and a lovely apartment, it's A'dam Good Story. Sinda last week we received the keys to a delightful maisonette where Joek shared our joy with us. It was great working and communicating with this man. Thanks again for that! We will wholeheartedly recommend Joek to anyone who needs help in the Amsterdam housing market.

28 Jun 2024From the very beginning, it was clear that Vanessa operates on a completely different level than the other real estate agents I have dealt with. From the outside, she is relaxed, easygoing and gives everyone, seller and buyer, a good feeling right away. Inside, she is super driven, sharp, can easily distinguish between main points and details, goes directly for the goal, keeps everything under control and manages well but always in a pleasant way. Within a month, I had a good offer while comparable properties were on the market for 4 / 5 months. It was otherwise not an easy process due to financing problems of the buyer, but Vanessa repeatedly solved the bottlenecks, protected my interests very well, and thanks to her tireless commitment, the sale went smoothly for everyone. She is actually a 6-star real estate agent, it's a shame I can only give 5!

13 Sep 2024In short: just don't do it! Explanation can be found below. ________________________________________ From A to Z, this process has been very unprofessional. The real estate agent we appointed for the sale, Skender, went on vacation immediately after accepting the offer, without any notification. Afterwards, we were left with his replacement, Remco, and that was a terrible experience all around. Here's a list: 1. Remco never answered when you called and didn't respond to messages -- even the notary mentioned during the sale that Remco is known for being unavailable. 2. Remco also didn't introduce himself after taking over from Skender. He didn't say anything and offered no information about the viewings he had planned. 3. Remco provided false information during the viewings, which has also negatively impacted the selling price of our house. 4. Remco was very rude all around. 5. Remco sold items with the house that were not for sale. 6. When Remco was confronted about this, he said: 'I'm not going to negotiate over a few items.' Ultimately, due to his attitude and unwillingness to advocate for our interests, we were unable to keep our belongings. 7. Remco made agreements with the purchasing party regarding the terms of the sale that were not discussed with us. When the notary tried to call him about this, he -of course- didn't answer either. And so on. When we contacted Skender about the substandard service provided, Skender was very indignant that we were dissatisfied. He did not acknowledge our frustrations and we also experienced no improvement or received any apologies. All in all, there was a huge lack of transparency, accessibility and customer focus. It is absolutely not recommended to work with either of these two men. They are both completely incompetent and unprofessional real estate agents.

I contacted them because I wanted help determining a good offer for a house, as I naturally want to make an offer that is proportionate to the house. Ultimately came up with an offer that was tens of thousands of euros above the appraisal value and above other bids. Of course, you only find out about that later. I don't understand house prices, so that’s why I engaged a buyer's agent. So yeah, too much trust. But unfortunately, Skender showed 0 reflection and responsibility in this and mainly wants his invoice to be paid.

16 Jul 2024We were scammed by this real estate agency. We rented an apartment for 2700 (Lindengracht 332), which they touted as recently renovated and beautiful. In reality, this apartment was filthy and disgusting. The walls had black mold everywhere, the furniture was broken, every corner of the apartment was dirty, worn out, and disgusting. After being confronted with the problems, they started lying and blaming my relatives for 'not following the standard procedure', which was completely untrue. Ultimately, we had to hire a lawyer, but we did get our deposit back, but we were still ripped off by an extra €1350 by the greedy landlord who refused to take responsibility for his disgusting apartment.

He guided us well through the sales process, and was the only one of the three brokers we had invited who came up with the good idea to have photos taken during our vacation. That pragmatic attitude is characteristic of Hans and decisive in our choice for him. We have not regretted that. Hans adapts easily and is flexible in his approach. He listens well to wishes and then gives good advice. He always responded within a day to our questions and he kept appointments. After some setbacks in our own purchase process, he recommended another skilled purchasing broker, Kersten. Which made us feel enormously helped. We can confirm, as several reviews already say, that Hans is a friendly, honest and skilled broker!

From the very beginning, Mohamed was incredibly patient, supportive, and truly invested in finding the right home. What made the experience so special is that he never just tried to ‘close a deal.’ In fact, he often convinced me that certain houses weren’t right for me, even when I was tempted to settle down.
