Of course, he had the expertise you would expect; he was realistic and kept his appointments. The appraisal was carried out the next day and the appraisal report was emailed within 48 hours. 21 May 2024It concerned a recreational property with the obligation of another year's rental. To our surprise, and also that of the real estate agent, the banks therefore only wanted to grant a low mortgage. Apparently, they cannot distinguish between a rented property and a holiday home that is rented out periodically. As a result, many potential buyers had to drop out, which naturally influenced the final price.

04 Jun 2021Requested sales brochures via website. Received nothing. Finally managed to reach someone by phone after many attempts. Pleasant conversation. Busy, sales brochures are on their way. Another project was recommended, and I would also receive information about that. Now 10 days later, still received nothing. When you call, you constantly get the message that brokers are busy on the phone. I'm fed up with this, this is not a serious company. Update: Thursday, June 3, 2021. The owner has posted the response below. Thinks he’s serious. Nothing could be further from the truth; he claims to have spoken to me on the phone just now. That's not the case, so he's also a liar.

25 Mar 2025Clearly communicated with son Niels about an assignment to appraise a property, before/after renovation. Price and agreements communicated as agreed via email. Father den Ouden calls like a blunt farmer saying the appraisal will not proceed due to nonsensical reasons that I, as the buyer, cannot influence. Well, the question is whether you want to do business with such types anymore. My advice is NO.

Petra, as indicated, I (Ab) have previously reviewed the property in preparation and must conclude, based on the data available online including the price history, that the value you desire is not realistic from my perspective. Apart from this, as a broker/appraiser, I am obliged to objectively assess the property and act carefully and ethically, and not according to the desired price that a client would so gladly want. Therefore, I have decided not to proceed with carrying out the assignment of appraising this property. I am also pleased that we belong to this 'type' of broker.

25 Aug 2024The viewing was neat, the son is a nice boy who is honest. But father is very rude and lies about everything when he is confronted if he leaves things or doesn't communicate normal things. For example, as a bidder I am not informed of anything and have to find out from funda that the house has been sold. I will call and he says forget it, sorry? No, and then he lies again. There were no hurdles with others like financial and inspection etc. Literally said by the real estate agent and what do I see on fair bidding afterwards that only the price of bidding differed and then I understand that for the seller. But just say that and don't start lying!! That wasn't necessary. And I was not allowed to bid lower than the asking price, which he said angrily! I had asked the son beforehand if that was possible and it was!!!! Father didn’t appreciate comments and then reacts terribly and can normally see and probably doesn’t communicate with his son. He would have received 1 star from me but because the son was nice he gets two. But don't do business with him!!!!!!
