Promises mountains of gold when he accepts the sales assignment, but afterwards nothing comes of it and the next step is to significantly lower the asking price……….. someone who knows the market, the real estate agent, should know better, in my opinion. It strongly gives the impression that you are being misled with a high selling price while the agent knows that this is not achievable. Subsequently, the asking price is lowered. Very disappointing. We canceled the assignment at the time and went into business with another real estate agent, at a lower commission and with a positive result

12 Jul 2025Review: Unprofessional and discriminatory conduct by realtor Patrick My experience with realtor Patrick has been frankly shocking. First assigning a house and then half an hour later, stating that it was no longer the case. Because he indicates that his feeling doesn't feel right. What feeling? If a buyer is willing to pay, through any bank whatsoever. As if this is a bank from Germany, where certainly 30% of Dutch people are customers. Then this shouldn’t raise question marks? The most worrying thing is that there was clearly unequal treatment. Another buyer was openly favored, while my offer was significantly higher – we're talking about comfortably tens of thousands of euros difference. See photo for proof. This raises serious questions about integrity and motives. Moreover, I strongly got the impression that origin and ethnicity played a role in this, which is absolutely unacceptable and contrary to every professional and ethical standard. This real estate agency inspires no confidence at all and, in my opinion, should be subject to inspection or investigation by legislative bodies. Everyone deserves a fair chance in the housing market – without prejudice, without backroom deals. Also called about this with the real estate agency. But they play it on personal favor. And furthermore, the owner of this real estate agency did not want to give any further explanation. And also didn’t want to critically examine the situation. My tip to you 'Treat a person as you would like to be treated yourself'. This is not a way of doing business, frankly regrettable and not even worth a star.

We have previously used De Makelaar in Borne twice before, and were very satisfied, so naturally we came back to Marloes. A wonderful, expert and professional real estate agent who is very involved in assisting sellers/buyers. Nothing is too much for Marloes, who together with Patrick, Lisanne and recently Barbera, form a top team. Marloes advised us to first clear the house before selling, so you can see how beautiful the rooms of the house were. Thanks to the fantastic photos and film from her trusted photographer Karin, buyers got a nice impression of the house. And that resulted in a very quick sale of the property. 12 Jun 2025Marloes would have been our buying agent, but she completely abandoned us. Didn't show up, no offer sent, and completely unreachable. No respect or professionalism whatsoever. Outright scandalous and absolutely not recommended.

01 May 2025I approached Jan Oosterhof regarding my wish to have him guide the sale of my house. The first impression was immediately good and that feeling was only reinforced during the sales process. Jan is clear in his communication, easily accessible, and open to suggestions. My questions were answered with good justification. Knowledge of the subject matter, well-groomed, correct, and reliable are words that come to mind when I think back on our collaboration. We made clear agreements based on a step-by-step plan, which Jan followed meticulously. This is how Jan works together with a stylist and photographer to prepare the house for sale. This resulted in a fantastic photo reportage. I was very impressed, and that says a lot! The team at the office supporting the process also deserves a compliment: my phone calls were answered neatly and things were handled quickly and resolved here as well. Ultimately, the sales process led to a very beautiful result where my house was sold above the asking price in a very short time. Completely satisfied!

01 Jan 2025I have gone through a very special process of over 4 years with Jan Oosterhof. My parental home was initially to be sold while my mother was still alive. Unfortunately, her death intervened. Jan Oosterhof was one of the first to send condolences. For me, the sale of the parental home, which my parents themselves had built, was a difficult and emotional process. Jan guided me excellently in this. He always kept his finger on the pulse in a pleasant way and was always ready when needed. Texts in the evening or appointments on the weekend...no problem. The process ultimately resulted in a beautiful collaboration with a heritage official. Jan was open to everything and sensitively felt what my wishes were. Together we found a buyer to whom I could transfer my parental home with a good feeling. I am very grateful to Jan Oosterhof for this, and I can therefore recommend this real estate agent 100%, especially if the sale of a house is emotionally charged. He is a real estate agent with an empathetic ability but businesslike when necessary. And not forgetting, Snelders Zijlstra Hengelo has a very pleasant team, so I have always been helped kindly, nothing seemed too much. I thank Snelders Zijlstra Hengelo and especially Jan Oosterhof for this special process 🙏.
