Our experience with Eigenwijs Makelaars was extremely disappointing from start to finish. As the representative of our landlord, they consistently behaved unprofessionally and did not follow the correct procedures during our tenancy. Despite us fulfilling our obligations as tenants, they withheld our full deposit based on baseless and nonsensical accusations – all of which were ultimately rejected by the court. This caused unnecessary stress and financial problems, and it became clear that they were not acting in good faith. We strongly advise others against engaging with Eigenwijs Makelaars. In our experience, their behavior was not only unprofessional but bordered on misleading. We would never recommend them to anyone. ABSOLUTE SCAM.

After driving for two hours with my pregnant girlfriend, they offered us an illegal rental apartment without registration for 1300 euros exclusive of VAT. They were very unfriendly during the viewing. We wasted our time and money. Stay away from these unprofessional people. After they promised to call me back after my complaint, they never contacted me.

I haven't been there myself. However, the office is relatively centrally located, less than 200 meters from Zandvoort's train station, towards the beach promenade. They also speak German there. This could be interesting for Germans looking for a home there. As far as I know, they offer houses, apartments and other types of housing for rent. They have a very clear website where you can select different categories to find what you're looking for. For example, if you enter 'houses' with a price range, only those houses are displayed. This saves you endless scrolling. There are also other categories. The real estate agents are not only responsible for properties in Zandvoort, but also in the surrounding areas. If you're looking for housing in those areas, you can indicate this in the menu. The real estate office in Zandvoort has one male and two female employees. The offered properties are extensively photographed, so you don't have to guess whether they're suitable or not. Anyone interested in Zandvoort undoubtedly knows that it's not a cheap place. You need to have a substantial wallet. Despite this knowledge, I was surprised by the asking price for my former landlord's currently vacant terraced house. The house, which dates from the 1930s and is directly opposite the train station, is expected to fetch almost €600,000. However, it has been on the market for nearly a year (as of October 2, 2020). As far as I know, there are three real estate offices active in Zandvoort, including this one.

Unfortunately, I have a completely different experience with this real estate agent than the other reviews suggest! After submitting a request for a sales quote, I received a quick response and the visit to the property also went well. The promise that I would receive a quote within a week (I already thought that was long, but okay) was not kept. Subsequently, my email with an inquiry was ignored, and my phone calls remained unanswered. Finally, on Friday (more than 1.5 weeks after the property visit), I managed to get through to the real estate agent, who promised to create a quote over the weekend. The reason for the delay was said to be a move of the office. I find it strange that you, as a customer, should suffer because of this, but despite that, I agreed and would wait until the weekend. You can guess it.. unfortunately nothing received! No response at all during the entire week after sending new emails and leaving a voicemail message. Really worthless! Is this really how you want to treat customers?! If a move is causing problems, communicate that and give the correct expectation. And above all: don't make empty promises! I still hope for a decent reaction and a substantive sales quote.

Well. Of course it's an overheated market. But handling prospects like that ruins everything. Bad. Get out of there!!
