Subsequently, after 2 days, I received an email back. A return phone call would have been appropriate!

27 Oct 2025About a year ago, we moved from Van der Zaanstraat 1 3317WT Dordrecht. Melvin de Makelaar represented the homeowner and behaved very impolitely towards us, the tenants, during checkout. First, they were late for our checkout appointment and then they told us that we had to pay for a dirty oven. We asked for it to be cleaned, which was 20 minutes of work, but he refused. Later, he deducted €250 from our deposit. Very impolite behavior, I would never recommend this real estate agent. By the way, I later complained to the owner and got my money back.

That pragmatic attitude is characteristic of Hans and decisive in our choice for him. We have not regretted that. Hans adapts easily and is flexible in his approach. He listens well to wishes and then gives good advice. He always responded within a day to our questions and he kept appointments. After some setbacks in our own purchase process, he recommended another skilled purchasing broker, Kersten. Which made us feel enormously helped.
