Date unknownVery bad experience with Vesta. Especially the valuation by B. I still have my doubts whether he is a NVM appraiser. He looks in the land registry for surrounding sold homes and immediately has his price ready. He doesn't look at individual aspects that can influence the value of homes at all. Without consultation, he immediately places his report on the NWWI site. Very careless, very un-customer focused and would NOT recommend anyone to do business with him. Make sure you don't have to deal with him, because he will rip you off.

Date unknownWith thanks for the neat response below and the knowledge that where “meat is chopped, splinters fly”, I would gladly adjust three “penalty points” to one. Because making mistakes is allowed, especially when you acknowledge them and learn from them! Who knows, see you at the next dream house…. 😃 While the sounds are quite common that the housing market is no longer as strained as it was a year ago, this realtor still whips things up nicely… For a house that was for sale, I called and offered more than 6% above the asking price. The person who answered the phone wasn’t thrilled about that, because the purchase contract had already been drawn up with someone who had bid even more. When I indicated that I could also offer more, the person stated that I would then have to offer more than 15% above the asking price. A considerable challenge, but when I said I was willing to pay it, the person indicated they would call me back. Unfortunately, that was over three weeks ago and I haven’t heard anything since. And you can say that that was fair, because the draft purchase contract had already been drawn up at the time I called, but that invitation to offer more than 15% is still a bit surprising (to put it mildly) and not calling back ever is quite disappointing, so the three stars space for improvement that I give here are truly justified.

We were inexperienced with selling a house, so it was quite exciting. During the first meeting, everything felt right immediately. We were guided by Agnes and Britt, and what wonderful employees they are. Very professional, friendly, and all our concerns from A to Z were taken out of our hands by them. When you have a question, you get an answer very quickly. We simply felt safe with this real estate agent. I also recommend this agency to everyone who is going to sell/buy a house.

Date unknownMy husband and I had a viewing with one of the agents who, unfortunately, treated us very poorly. From the moment we walked into the house, his attitude towards us was, to put it mildly, not hospitable. And that's because we had no choice but to bring our children to the viewing, as we couldn’t find anyone to babysit them. The agent made remarks about our children (which was the reason he himself didn’t want to have children) and gave us and our children commands like: 'don't touch this, it's very expensive!', 'don't linger here!'. Some of the commands were given even before we entered a room. At one point, the agent shouted: “bring the children downstairs!”. I thought at the time that I had misunderstood him, so I simply ignored his remark. Ten minutes after the viewing, my two-year-old daughter wanted to sit on the bench next to the bed and the agent yelled at her: 'Get out of bed!!!'. A +30-year-old man, a complete stranger, yelling at a two-year-old, I'm just astonished at how an adult can behave like that. There is no excuse you can use to explain how the agent is unable to deal with his problems which he clearly had when our children were present at the viewing, towards us, also adults. But instead, he chose to yell at our child and continued his behavior towards me after my husband told him that we would be ending the viewing due to the unprofessional attitude of the agent. The tone was rude and the words he used were simply unacceptable. We have had other viewings in the past where we also had to bring our children, and all agents were more than hospitable and understanding of the situation (believe it or not, such a situation is also stressful for a parent!). So what happened next, my husband took the children out of the house and wanted to go back to talk to the agent about what had just happened. But the agent didn’t want to talk to us because he locked himself in the building and no longer opened the door. We witnessed this sad situation because we brought our own realtor to the viewing. If you are considering Avenue ‘t Gooi Makelaars as your selling realtor, I strongly advise you to reconsider. We were seriously planning to make an offer on the house yesterday, but after having such a unpleasant experience, of course we won’t do that now. We had another house to view soon, also offered by Avenue ’t Gooi Makelaars, but we have decided that we don't want to see it, because we don’t want to risk being treated badly again. I understand that it might have been difficult for the agent to deal with the situation, since the children were very busy, but my husband and I tried everything to minimize disruption of the situation. There are many other ways the agent could have handled the situation, but unfortunately he chose to be disrespectful and very mean and make hurtful remarks about and towards our children and towards me and my husband. We reported this incident to the owner of the agency, who did not seem to understand the problem and even blamed our children for being busy. We did not receive an apology. Therefore, I decided to leave the review.

We were able to schedule an initial meeting quite quickly, and despite being very nervous because it would be our first home purchase, we were exceptionally well taken care of by the two ladies and left feeling good. It was immediately clear that the ladies have a lot of expertise and are very professional. This primarily came across during the viewings, for which Britt arranged the planning and where Agnes was personally present. Agnes looks at the smallest details with a critical eye and almost intuitively knows what is suitable or not for her clients. Before and after the viewings, communication and coordination with the necessary parties also proceeded rapidly via Avenue thanks to Britt, who keeps track of everything and maintains an overview. We expected it to take at least a year to buy a house, and ultimately, we found and bought a house in less than three months after the first viewing, thanks to Avenue!

The marketing package was a nice addition and with good tips, the house was restyled a bit, which certainly improved the presentation. In the follow up, I do expect more contact and when the reconsideration period expired, I would have expected a moment of contact to 'celebrate' the final sale. Otherwise, a good real estate agent with corresponding back office.
