Even when I went against his advice, he continued to think along and cooperated smoothly. He is creative, solution-oriented, and really thinks with you. Despite the enormous pressure on the housing market, I never felt like a number with Van Rhijn Makelaars. They were involved, fast, and always accessible. My house was ultimately sold well, and I was completely relieved of responsibility throughout the process. If you want to sell your property in Gouda or the surrounding area, then, as far as I'm concerned, Van Rhijn Makelaars is the right choice. 17 Dec 2024Bad experience with a nasty aftertaste. Does not honor agreements, is careless and unreasonable. Agreements made in move account were not kept. Incorrect data published in both the move account and the funda advertisement. When inquiring with the broker about this, he reacted defensively and extremely unreasonably. And washing hands of innocence. As a result, we have been misled and had to incur high extra costs. Afterwards, when asking around, other people shared a similar experience. Our advice would be not to enter into business with this real estate agent.

The first time we were looking for a property in the Netherlands. We weren't even in the Netherlands when we did so. Melvin is a good listener. He listened to all our wishes and requirements, made a shortlist of houses that were on the market, and after the second (online) viewing, we had our first house in a new country. He also knows the market and all the details about it. That helps with the negotiation and bidding process. After living in a rental property for 1.5 years, we decided to buy a home of our own. When I arrived there, I was lost without information about the building, because there were multiple identical ones. Despite calling him several times, he didn't answer his phone. It took me more than 1 hour to get there by train and he simply doesn't care about people’s time. Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful.

I wanted a fairly quick transfer and he arranged that too under the motto 'you are my client, I'll take care of it'. He guided us well through the sales process, and was the only one of the three brokers we had invited who came up with the good idea to have photos taken during our vacation. That pragmatic attitude is characteristic of Hans and decisive in our choice for him. We have not regretted that. Hans adapts easily and is flexible in his approach. He listens well to wishes and then gives good advice. He always responded within a day to our questions and he kept appointments. After some setbacks in our own purchase process, he recommended another skilled purchasing broker, Kersten. Which made us feel enormously helped. We can confirm, as several reviews already say, that Hans is a friendly, honest and skilled broker!

Remmie has years of experience as a real estate agent and appraiser in the local housing market of Utrecht. Not a slick, quick young man, but an involved real estate agent with a positive factor. When it initially didn't go smoothly, Remmie helped keep his head cool. With some patience, and some strategic adjustments to how the property was put on the market, it was still sold quite quickly and for a good amount. Thanks to his good advice and guidance, I have more than earned back the costs of his services. If I ever needed a real estate agent again in the Utrecht region, I would call Remmie.
